No they shouldn't distance themselves from Biden. Biden did a fanstic job cleaning up Trump's mess. Don't act like all that inflation is Biden's fault.

I caught one segment, when she was asked about the border. She DID mention the border bill that republicans shot down, which might be the first time some of these fox news people are hearing it.
I was a little disheartened when she was asked about the border patrol union going for Trump, she didn't have a clear answer except "I get it"

BUT that isn't me dooming because it seems like she overall did really well. I did catch the clip where Brett attempted to bait her in insulting 50% of America, and she just fired back and said "I would never insult the american people like that" or somesuch. Awesome!

So if you see anybody today going "Well, she can't say it, but I will: they're deplorables" that is why.

Trump would never be able to handle a hostile interviewer as well as Kamala just did. The 1 time in the election cycle he ever received as much pushback from an interviewer (at the NABJ) as Kamala did with Brett, he started whining about how mean the interviewer was to him as soon as the 1st difficult question was asked. If it wasnt for the fact that that interviewer had 2 other people (one of which being a Fox loyalist) to ask him questions, Im sure his handlers would be trying to rush him out of the interview as fast as they could.

I would have had a problem with Biden having an interview with Fox as I think it would have done more harm than good, Kamala on the other hand can probably handle it fine and thus it's an opportunity to reach people who would never hear her otherwise.

As long as she doesn't start talking like a neo-con of course. If she starts acting like Republican-lite then she's not going to be changing any opinions.

FNs own presser says it'll be 25-30 minutes and it went on for...26 minutes. The only play left for them would be to go "well it says 25-30, and she went 26 which doesn't even round up to 30" or something i don't know, I know when to fold.

Baier literally cut it early and even rushed Kamala through her final remarks due to the network telling him he's out of time, or so he said out loud. Nothing to say to that talking point except to show them how it ended.

Why do people keep interpreting it like this? You're not distancing yourself from Biden by saying "that's literally not my job". I don't get why this is so damn hard for some to understand. Just say "as you know, that's not my job and not within my authority as Vice President (makes Trump/Vance look like liars and educates the ignorant masses), however I have stood behind Biden and supported his decisions during his presidency which has brought tremendous growth and change for the American people as a result. When I am actually President and have the authority to control those things, this is how I'll do it."

It's not that hard people.

It's really not better to just let them fuel their "Kamala has actually been running the nation this entire time" narrative.

I've literally heard a customer say, "You know, Trump did have a point when he said she's had 3 years to get it done, so why hasn't she?" in citing the debate they had.

Trump could never handle a tough interview. Any time a question isn't 100% fluffing him, he complains about the interviewer.

Just look at his interview he did with that business journalist. Complete shit show.

When it comes to people who are so profoundly uninformed that they do not understand basic civics vis a vis the Vice President's power or lack thereof, "that's not my job" would be interpreted by their pea brains as buck-passing and lack of accountability.

And they'll never be educated if nobody ever educates them on the separation of powers between the office. And I already laid out how easy it is to make Trump/Vance look like fools who themselves don't understand the separation of those powers or are lying about it while also standing behind Biden and what he's accomplished for America, then taking the opportunity to distinguish herself in how she'd be different in her own term.

Trump doesn't even understand who pays tariffs.

She destroyed him. He kept trying to trap him, and she saw everything from a mile away, side stepped them and counter attacked.

Harris has been campaigning 24/7 and she still looks healthy.

Biggest take away from all this. She will be campaigning until all the votes are in.

Cuban also wants Lina Khan out if Harris wins, and she's probably the most effective person in the Biden administration.
That said, I think his work with Cost Plus Drugs has been impressive and largely beneficial to society

Once again, how is this distancing? Saying that's literally not your job isn't distancing and I'm also outlining how you still throw support behind the person who is actually responsible. Literally what's the benefit to letting the Republican lie that the Vice President is responsible for things she's not responsible for, which could sway them into "why would I vote for her when she's done nothing for the last 3 years?", as I've literally overheard a customer say citing their debate (in fairness they could also just be Trumpers, but they could also have not been), seep into the national narrative?

Not to mention, she still needs to distinguish herself from Biden anyways because if she just sells herself as "I'm just more of Biden", well there's tons of people who are "unhappy" with Biden's handling of especially the economy, and regardless of how justified they may be as it's often just due to ignorance, once again she's gotta distinguish herself in how her administration will be different from his. Would you call that "distancing herself"? Is she just not allowed to be her own person or express her agency and actual authority within his administration because that would be her "distancing herself"?

Once again, she can clearly outline that she's not responsible for things while still standing behind his Presidency and how he's benefitted the American people. I just don't see the benefit or point in letting Republicans sell their lie about how she's responsible for immigration or what's happening in Gaza. I only see that as a net negative for politically ignorant swing voters who are susceptible to such lies.
