So PSA if people don't know, if you go to the social tab and select "Community Showcases" you can see all your friend's shared showcases and Like them directly from there. Each Like gives them a Shop Ticket and you can re-Like them every day, so it's nice to do it.

Mewtwo was most prolific with 134 decks, and Pikachu was right behind with 124. But whittled down to the Top 8, only 1 Mewtwo remained compared to 5 Pikachu (including the overall winner). No Misty decks even made the Top 16.

I have been playing with a Misty deck and it's pretty strong when it works but relying on coin flips sucks

Wow I pulled the gold crown Mewtwo EX so now I have two.

So now I just need a 2nd Gardevoir and 2 Giovanni to be able to make that meta Mewtwo deck.

I haven't opened anyone in the Gardevoir line yet even :(

I have the normal and full art Mewtwo EX and a Gardevoir but I just don't really like playing that deck

I've been playing a Blaine deck lately with Moltres EX (and Arcanine EX cause he's a good boi). I bring Heliolisk in case I run into any Misty decks, because he can attack for two colorless energy for 60 or 100 damage to Water types. Managed to beat a Misty deck earlier with him doing most of the work

its annoying though that whenever I edit my deck it automatically turns lightning energy back on, so I have to be careful to turn it back off

I have three Mewtwo EXes and zero Gardevoirs, but I don't have any interest in playing a Mewtwo deck anyway. With this current expansion, there's also really nothing else that Gardevoir is needed for. Even with the extra energy generation, Golurk and regular Mewtwo are still not great. Running two 2-stage lines is asking for inconsistency, so no helping Alakazam or Gengar EX get going (and Gengar is like bottom 2 worst EX anyway). And Gardevoir is just not good by itself.

Are there any rewards/incentives for playing online?

You get 15 EXP if you win so it can help to level up but that's all for now.

You also get a shop ticket if the other player thanks you after the match. There seems to be a daily limit though because I stopped getting them after awhile yesterday, but today I'm getting them again

Yeah, but also if you have a bunch of friends that like your showcase every day, you'll just quickly hit your daily cap from that.

Honestly, I'm a little frustrated at the game now because despite probably 95% of my pulls being in Mewtwo and Charizard packs, I still keep getting five generics I already have from even the Pikachu ones, and I'm still missing some heavy hitters from the other packs, such as Gardevoir. Factor in that I can usually only do 2-3 pulls a day now and it makes it all feel a little pointless.

I have much better luck with Wonder Pick than packs to be honest. Most of my rarest cards have come from that

If by gold you mean the crown rarity, those can't appear in Wonder Pick. It's limited to 2* or lower.

As I'm getting further and further along in my collection, I'm wondering if it would've been better to buy up the wonderglasses this month instead of the packglasses.

My Wonder Pick luck so far has been pretty awful. My first ever attempt did give me a full art Charmander, which was really nice, but literally everything else I've gotten since then would be considered straight up garbage if not for the full art Eevee I got a couple of days ago. I'm all out of refills at this point and it takes a full day to get one point refreshed, too, so Wonder Picks are going to be a rare thing for me unless they tweak the system at some point.

Meanwhile, they troll me by putting non-event Meowths and Chanseys in the free Wonder Picks and let me have those. Doesn't work when the actual event ones are there, though!

I got my first Greninja and Articuno EX from wonder picks so they've been going great here

I just played somone online who was already level 27 somehow

Also had an Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres emblem which I don't even see in the shop!

There are a few secret Themed Collection missions, and that emblem is the reward for getting all three of the full art 2* legendary birds

Apparently the game launched at the end of Sep in New Zealand so some people spoofed their location to start playing a month early.

It wasn't actually something I really needed over other things (my grass deck is pretty weak and missing important cards like Erika), but I couldn't resist the chance to pull an EX from you after your reply to me.

Not sure that I'll play for long, there doesn't seem much to do, and not a fan of the battles (don't have many of the good cards mentioned here). If anyone does want to add me though, my code is 1966079985294913. My last pack included an Articuno Ex, so it's not a bad one if you can get lucky.

Random thing I found interesting is you can get cards in different languages. I added some random Japanese player as a friend and managed to get a new card with Japanese text rather than English from a Wonder Pick (just a basic Ivysaur card, nothing special). It would help if I spoke the language of course.

Lapras EX drop event is underway.

Oh boy nothing more fun than going against a Misty deck as the final battle in that event

The AI tends to suck, thankfully (or not if you want real challenge, I guess). But yeah I did end up fighting a Starmie that got 3 energy on turn 1 in the expert battle.

I got a promo Pikachu on the third battle, but no Lapras yet

edit: beat Expert, got another Pikachu lol

edit 2: and a third Pikachu. Hopefully I can trade these eventually lol

Also they really need to advertise the event better. I played this morning and had no idea it was on until I saw a tweet from Serebii about it.

I thought the cards were going to be rarer because I didn't get one until my third win, but now I've gotten 7 in a row I think

I finally got a Lapras EX with my 8th pull. Ended up with 3 Mankey, 2 Pikachu, and 2 Clefairy before that.

Anyway, I doubt it was the best use of them, but I used 35 pack points to get myself a second Heliolisk so I could make a deck that just has two of them and two Zebstrika. It's been consistent so far in beating expert, which from what I understand is the only difficulty where you're guaranteed a pack every time you clear it (and for the record, losing doesn't use up stamina). I even managed to almost immediately win one battle because the AI only got a Golduck out on the field before I mowed it down.

These event hourglasses might be horde-able. If you tap on the Meowth event ticket, the description says it disappears after the event. Tapping on the event hourglass says no such thing.

EX Lapras was my first pull. I thought it was scripted. It feels weird to be lucky in one of these games!

I think I just need Erika to complete a deck that has been pretty consistent for me.

I thought it had been proven that the pack roulette was a sham? I recall some people posting (might've been on reddit) that they went to pull, idled on the pack roulette, and their results showed up on their friends' Wonder Pick before they even chose which one to open.
