Some days RNG can just be so demoralizing.

So many times going first. So many times having bad draws. So many times the coins going against me.

The premium missions are retroactive. I signed up yesterday and they were all available to claim immediately.

2 Butterfree, 2 Pikachu, 3 Clefairy, 5 Mankey, but still no Lapras for me :(

Meanwhile my wife got Lapras on her first try lol

My take from this then is it's probably retroactive to the start of the current month. Meaning none of my progress carried over because that all happened in October. Which makes sense. It's a monthly thing.

Yeah I did the trail and it was retroactive. Probably for the month like you said.

Update, it gave me another interactive Mewtwo. I do not have any of the other pieces for a Mewtwo deck, hence why I keep pulling on those packs

Does anyone know if the premium missions are retroactive? I see you can get a 2 week trial and it looks like I would have basically cleared all the missions if they were active. However, if I trigger them now I am basically out of resources so won't be able to easily clear any of them

Fighting the Starmie EX AI battle

Turn 1 Misty on Articuno EX, gets 3 energy and knocks out my only Pokemon. Game over

so going first isn't always a bad thing!

Went 7-3 in my 10 matches for the free packs. Not sure if I'll bother for the emblems.

Was using a Melmetal / Pawniard / Mawile / Fearow deck. Losses came in game 1 where I just didn't draw anything that could attack, Pikachu EX that got out instantly with turn 2 advantage and Mewtwo EX where he got out Gardevoir, not sure I had an answer to that as he had 2 Mewtwo EXs out. I did beat out that same deck a game earlier by Bisharp just snacking the shit out of Mewtwo before it could doing anything with a Giovanni assist

Only once did I get my Melmetal out and attack with it (was pretty great though as it beat out a fire deck with an Arcanine EX out). Seems most of my wins came purely for Pawniard / Bisharp out tempoing people on damage and forcing kills with Sabrina / Giovanni.

Thought Mawile / Fearow would be more impactful but they never affected a result. The one time I thought they might they didn't because of X-Speeds and Gardevoir

Side note but Spearow/Fearow feel like they make Rattata / Raticate and Doduo/Dodrio pointless. Combination of nore HP / damage plus an added effect on the attack. Same energy requirements

I guess Dodrio at least has the zero retreat cost

Definitely the best luck I've had in this game by far. I'd been almost exclusively pulling Charizard or Mewtwo packs so far, so this helps my collection out quite a bit. I wish you all could get a Wonder Pick from this, but I saw on reddit that pulls that include any cards that are 3 gold stars or better won't show up for others.

I heard there's a possibility they turn into the lower rarity versions (like the immersive EXs turn into the normal ones) but I can't confirm if that's true. Rare Packs CAN show up in Wonder Picks, so it's either that or a Rare Pack that failed to get anything high.

Its cool the AI cheats so badly in this game. Gotta love how Lapras EX always has 2 X Speed to retreat at one cost and whenever I get it low always has 2 Potions to play too. Misty also giving 4-5 head flips multiple fights in a row cool too :/

Then I did a few VS matches for the event and every last goober had multiple Mewtwo EX cards and Japanese names. How many Mewtwo EX are even in the game? This guy I faced had like 4 different Mewtwo

fought one of those types on my first versus match and i swear the user threw the match. uuuuuh thanks i guess i almost had a heart attack.

I've only started doing actual vs battles because of the event, but I've had decent luck with my Moltres EX/Charizard EX deck. Moltres to charge up Char and then switch and one shot everything. Only match I've lost so far was one where I got unlucky and couldn't get either Charmeleon out.

I almost got the fabled turn 1 win with Articuno EX and Misty against someone who only had a Ralts out, but I only got two heads instead of 3.

This is what I use too, ninetales is a solid secondary attacker if you have it, 90 dmg on 2 energy with cost

What are all the possibilities out of the promo pack thing from the Lapras ex event? So far I've gotten a promo Butterfree, Pikachu, Clefairy, and the Lapras ex, are there more than that available from the promo packs right now?

There's also a Mankey that's unique from the Genetic Apex one. It has an effect that combos into Primeape's effect.

I got one of those mega packs too, though mine had far less variety. It was three different Pikachu EXs and rare detailed backgrounds of two lesser Pokemon

I've pulled like 40 Pikachu packs and still haven't gotten a single Pikachu EX but KCF got 3 in one pack :(

sounds like my charizard luck (or lack thereof). i did get two starmie ex almost back to back though so im moving on to pikachu packs

Starmie is now only 1 of 2 EXes I don't have yet. :(

I've just been playing longer. A lot of my EXes have also been successful Wonder Picks.

This card seems very unbalanced

Pulled full art Erika and Blaine in back to back packs which is obviously fantastic but Sabrina is the one from that pack that I really want

I think the only EXs I'm missing are Zapdos and Articuno. Of course the harder part comes from most decks wanting 2 of the EX to function best. I don't know how many I have multiples of (I know for sure Pikachu, Mewtwo and Starmie though)

You keep the benefits for the full two weeks regardless of when you cancel.

Good to know. I have all the Mewtwo stuff and the bonus pack isn't enough to get me to pay monthly so I'll wait until they have more premium bonuses to resubscribe.

I got a Gengar EX by some miracle from a Wonder Draw instead of another base Pokemon Ive got multiple duplicates of. Ive had awful luck with draws so that was nice. Added Ghastly, Haunter & Gengar EX to my Psychic deck. Shame Golurk seems to suck so much ass since his design is cool, but 4 energy and a move that can potentially do 0 damage is justnot good

played the Oak and drew two potions

is this deck even shuffled

just lost a match in which my opponent got 0 points thanks to Aerodactyl getting heads on four straight turns and I might never play this game again

to top it all off they had the gall to sent me a friend request

tfw you hit four tails on four turns and your opponent's Zapdos lands three heads followed by four heads.

Well the next battle was a Misty that conceded when it failed on turn 1, so I guess balance is restored.

I have yet to have any desire to play against other people in this game

I generally like battling but I really wish coin flips weren't a factor.

I really need them to add more incentive to battle. Right now it's basically login for the packs each day and that's it.

Would requiring EX to evolve from base be too much?
