I dont think you are necessarily a bad person for doing either. Different families have different experiences and different dynamics. Thats really the end all be all of it.

I won't apologize for that. I dont even see how one could have a legitimate problem with that. Id never have the gall to comment on how someone else's upbringing does, will, or should affect their relationship with their family.

I mean kind of, tho it wasnt due to their support of Trump and Trumplikes. It was more their general shittiness.

Thankfully my family is more or less apolitical, other than my dead Grandpa who was an ultra reaganite. I don't know how he would have taken Trump. I suspect he wouldn't like him, but I can't swear he wouldn't have voted for him.
