We have about 10, 15 years at the most before climate change starts to massively upend everything anyway. I obviously would have preferred to hold off on the barbarism until then but here we are.

It's gonna be real interesting seeing how Russia plans to topple America as the leading economic power with this. It's going to be a completely new era.

In the short term we'll stay on top. The drop in regulations will boost our economy until money can't compensate for how bad all utilities and climate issues get.

The fact that so many people support what hes saying is shocking. I guess a lot of people were just so desperate to get away from Bidens leadership that they voted for his opponent without thinking about it. I thought that decency would decide the election, but it was personal finances. Biden let the cost of living go up exponentially, so Im honestly surprised that I even expected Harris to win.

You cant deny that life got unbearably hard under Biden and maybe people werent convinced that Harris was going to distance herself from him. I voted for Harris, but what are you going to do? Bidens administration was four of the toughest years of my entire life (based on the things that were actually in his control). It doesnt matter whose fault it was because the president gets the blame and thats the way it always goes.

The world doesn't always have a single undisputed superpower. Typically when the big empire falls there's a fair bit of chaos before a new power does emerge (and that sometimes takes centuries).

Russia is a nation in decline, China's built on a house of cards that will fall over at some point (probably when climate change basically destroys their ability to produce agriculture in about 15 years time, they'll fuck the Pacific over till then though through economic coercion), and the US has all the tools to ride out the climate crisis on top but is instead destroying itself at warp-speed and will crumble once we hit 2.4C warming and the agriculture industries stop being able to sustain their population (assuming it doesn't rip itself to pieces in a civil war before then).

There is no other power to take over right now. The EU will inherit what's left of the world in the backend of the century.
