I agree in principle that he shouldnt have done it; bad precedent and an abuse of the pardon power. On the other hand, I find it hard to be too riled up about it when hes right that Hunter never would have been prosecuted for these offenses was he not his son, Trump is nominating an FBI director that has promised to go after their enemies, and Trump is definitely going to abuse the pardon power in similar or worse ways regardless of what Joe does. Hell, Trump just nominated Jareds dad (who he pardoned for filming a sex tape of his brother in law with a prostitute in order to intimidate his sister out of testifying against him) as ambassador to France yesterday! --- Congrats to azuarc, GotD2 Guru champ! ... In my view I dont think its good on its own but the political version of the social contract has long since been broken by Republicans so oh well. There really needs to be a reestablishment of trust and standards in political life in the US, but at this point that would require a complete systemic overhaul. Apparently Biden was seen walking while carrying the book "The Hundred Years' War on Palestine", a pro-Palestine book. I've actually read the book! It's pretty dense, as it has to summarize a century's worth of history in a few hundred pages, but I found it a good read.
