They can go pretty left on economic stuff. Look at Bernie 2016. It just has to be messaged in a particular way.
What about social issues?

They absolutely can switch sides.

First stop making the assumption that all of them are the same and all of them voted for Trump for the very specific reasons derogatory reasons you assume they voted for him for. That in itself is part of the messaging problem that Republicans are taking advantage of.

Musk, Tate, Trump, Shapiro, Miller (you get the gist) existing. We 100% agree those people are definitely lost, and not part of our team and never will be.

It's incorrect to assume the average voter is well informed about these individuals. We painfully should have learned by now that the average voter is clueless.

I don't think you actually understand why some of these people voted for Trump. Just assumptions they are ALL well informed voters and assumptions they are ALL like Trump and Musk. Which is a bad assumption that's part of the issue with our messaging. Assuming the average American is well informed when on the contrary the average American can't even name the 3 branches of government let alone how they work.... or a single beneficial bill that has passed under Biden that helped the American people (because many of them including in our own team thinks "Biden bad")

Many just voted based on single issues or a few they FEEL Republicans care about more that again doesn't necessarily have to do with being sexist, or bigots. Some voted for the price of eggs and milk, or Gaza, or inflation. Singular issues that while misguided/wrong, they FEEL Republicans cared about more.

On what planet can some of the Biden 2020 voters who went Trump 2024 be won back 2026 or 2028? This one, if we go back to the drawing board to try to genuinely understand why we lost them without the unnecessary derogatory language that assumes all of them are racist, bigots, sexist or whatever your assumptions are just because confirmed bigots exist. That is assuming you genuinely have any interest of trying to win the Dem 2020 voters back.

Ehh, I think it's very possible to get back those voters.
The kind of low info voters who voted for Trump are persuadable and..(I know natsu doesn't want us saying this but this is a closed message board and we have no reach) incompetent. That's why they voted trump in the first place.

You can gain back those type of people

Between your own incorrect assumptions on ALL voters, and your naivete that the average American is well informed and knows what they are voting for, it's no wonder you don't want to try to break out of your bubble to genuinely understand why a percentage of Biden 2020 voters were lost.

So ya, I think you have made it pretty clear you aren't actually interested in genuinely understanding. You have taken that and twisted it to something that was never said.

The latter part of your post is the biggest problem.

I didn't say the GOP isn't the party of bigotry. I don't think emblem has disagreed with this either.

Your disconnect is the massive misconception that the average American voter is well informed about that. The average American isn't following politics like you and I are. A lot of Americans are just following their average everyday life.

The average American is voting and biasing their facts on how they FEEL. Not the actual facts which the average American is clueless about.

I think immigration is going to be the ultimate losers in the next few years.

I think Dems can get Trump voters on economic issues and on number 3 if we diffuse the manosphere grifter area though.

For example, I could see a Democratic party campaigning on universal healthcare with messaging/emphasis such as "free healthcare for AMERICANS", with making immigrants the "others". I think it would be unfortunate for this to happen, but I can see it working with that group of voters

We have exit polls from this election that tell the story. You're just wrong.

Hell, we have data from the 2020 election that proves this clown take wrong.

Because to GoPers he treated the covid crisis correctly. It was the Dems that wanted masks and other covid related stuff like vaccines that are bad.

Your analysis of the data is poor.

The exit polls show that economic issues are by far the primary reason people voted for Trump and the other issues you cite only achieve significance when the poll frames them in terms of economics.

There is room to change people's minds on Trump, and you can look not only at exit polls from this election to see this but at the difference between 2016 and 2020.

Even the data in your own words show economics being number 1.....

Many voted for the Orange Idiot because they are upset about the cost of bread and inflation and feel Trump is better at fixing it. Emphasis on the word, feel.

This is literally you being stuck in your ways assuming ALL are informed on Trump or follows politics. Many of these people dont even understand how inflation or tarrifs work let alone follow Project 2025.

If Kamala went the hope, change, Obama, Bernie route, she would have crushed.

Instead, she went the Cheney route.

Do you honestly think that the people who didn't even know Biden dropped out, the people mad about Palestine, people who thought she was too liberal, would have decided to vote for her because of a slogan?
