Looking around you will notice things are different than normal for this kind of crime. People arent willing to help the police. Many celebrate and glorify the murder. The reason is obvious being a CEO of one of the worst Healthcare companies in the US.

If the general public isnt interesting in condemning the individual, hell they celebrate him, then Im wondering what this will spark. Will this cause a rise in vigilantism? Will this cause CEOs of big companies to not be so greedy for money by satisfying the customer better? Will this cause an even larger rift between the customer and the company?

There are so many other questions too. It seems that either this can be eventually forgotten or it can be a spark of major societal change from a multiple of fronts. I dont know what it will be. Im curious what y'all think.

they'll just replace the guy, if they haven't already, and give their higher execs more security.

and things will go on as they have been.

Unfortunately, it will probably just lead to the rich separating themselves further from the lower class. Increasing security and maybe making wallled cities that only the rich can enter

will this cause a rise in vigilantism? i'd say perhaps.

will this cause CEOs of big companies to not be so greedy for money by satisfying the customer better? lolno. if it changes anything in the ways that CEOs think or act, it will probably only make them more paranoid and spend more money on private security. they might see the common people as their enemy even more.

No. The CEO's entire job is to generate the most money for the shareholders. The only CEO's won't do that is if capitalism goes bye bye.

for that to happen the ultra-wealthy would need to have any sense of empathy or self-reflection

I mean, we are entering one of the worst economic crises ever. The rich have way too much power now and will only get more of it next year. This is yet another symptom of a fucked up world and a fucked up economy. (And who owns all the money that leads to inflation? The rich of course)

I expect this to be a powder keg. People are praising this assailant. If anything, it's going to have more and more poor people who have been denied life-saving treatments who might even die within a few months BECAUSE of that to start just saying 'fuck it, I might as well go out with a bang and die a hero to the people'

This is where we are at. No one to blame but the rich. So I am happy this might be making some of them squirm.

No

And if it does change it'll be for the worse. Rich people will use it as justification for solidifying even more power and politicians will use it to promote even more draconian policies.

Stifling the right to protest and free speech while empowering police and using the army all under the name of "Security"

People seem to forget that when black people tried to arm themselves, suddenly gun control legalisation was immediately put through.

What do you think will happen if people try to oppose rich white dudes with violence over healthcare or gas prices? Healthcare and gas prices will get worse.

i get why people are cheering for his death. after all, he was a prick who profited off the misfortune of others...

i dunno if that's gonna change much tho. if anything, they might replace him with someone who is as much of a prick or even a bigger prick than the other guy was and things will continue like business as usual.

Probably not greatly, but I would imagine that it will probably be on the back of some peoples mind in their decision-making in the future. If it shatters the invincibility, some of these people undoubtedly feel, then itll probably end up being a net positive.

Not in the slightest, considering 95% of society saw the story and just when "Oh" and moved on, or haven't even heard about it.

You all grossly underestimate how many people go through life living in a personal bubble, not giving a shit about 90% of the stuff CE dotes on about.

Not unless a shit-ton of other CEOs and ultra-wealthy people fall victim to copycat attacks. As they are now, the most that'll probably change as a result of this shooting is that they'll hire more security while they just keep on fucking over the world as they always have.
