It's pretty obvious from what Phil is attempting that his angle is to pretend like this was light razzing and continue on as if nothing between him and PPP happened. He's that much of a cock for every single dollar he can wring out of his relationship with the dude.

So Looking the whole thing over it's kind of frustrating because the way it ended up makes it very easy for Phil to dismiss the whole thing. Some of the things put to him throughout were extremely damaging, even if he does in the interview just move on as if nothing happened, but long term things do fester in his chats about these things. But as the interview went on it was clear the interviewer (Steve I think) got extremely frustrated with how openly and obviously he was lying and just ignoring things a normal person can't ignore and things spiraled somewhat from neat and defined questions to 5 questions in one, not letting Phil have his say (even though it was just going to be dismissing everything without cause) and then shouting and yelling and whatever clusterfuck that happened when his special guest came on.

As fantastic as the first hour and a half-two hours were, as pretty good as the next -1 hour was, Phil will only ever reference the disaster that is the last hour in reference to this event when it gets brought up and the everything from the first part will be entirely memoryholed.

I watched that interview, and side scrollers was way better if you ask me. At first this looked promising, but rather than embrace Phil's bullshit arguments, dude let himself get angry talking over him. Look, I get pissed too that a grown man would lie to another man's face like that, but he just created a situation where Phil could play victim where he is an expert.

A short summary for those that don't want to watch. Phil never called the cops to report his bank leaks like he said he did.
