I feel like Jan 6 and COVID should've been game overs easily.

There were only two moments where I thought Trump was truly cooked.

The first was the Access Hollywood tape. Political careers had been ended over a lot less, and I figured that given that Trump's chances of election already looked pretty shaky, this was it. And it almost was, if it wasn't for James fucking Comey (though even then, it really should have finished Trump).

After he shook that off, I never put much stock in a lot of the "career-ending" things Trump supposedly did, right up until January 6. I figured staging a violent insurrection against the government would probably disqualify him in the eyes of a critical mass of voters, but there's me overestimating American morality again...
