Canada should be grateful! Who doesn't wanna become part of our country where we do not value healthcare, education, environment, social programs, information, infrastructure or civil rights? Weird nitpick but it would be the 51st-60th states. I think they have 10 provinces. You can't turn the entirety of Canada into a singular state.

You really have no idea what you are talking about and are drastically overestimating how difficult a war like that would be - between all of our own allies jumping us, elements of the military very likely refusing orders as unlawful, and more, it would not be over in a week.

As a Canadian I can say that America would militarily take us over with ease. It's the resistance and world backlash as well as the backlash at home that America would not be able to handle.

This is Canada's fault for relying on America for so long. Hopefully this is a wake up call for Canada to start developing and mass producing drones for warfare, and to begin to develop and manufacture nuclear weapons.

Yeah, I would go as far as to say that invading Canada would ultimately be America's undoing. A. From my understanding, Canada's military is far more brutal than their national stereotype may imply.
B. Virtually all our allies would turn against us, may even enact a collective first strike in MAD to stop us from nuking everyone else.
C. America hasn't been _totally_ brainwashed into seeing Canada as an enemy or something we're entitled to. There would likely be a shit load of internal resistance and civil upheaval.

Also, if we did something that stupid, Russia would probably throw everything at Ukraine and terrify the EU it has to defend two fronts. Hell, China might as well take Taiwan during the chaos.

Canada almost certainly has a stronger military than Iraq and Afghanistan, and unlike those countries is close enough to attack Americans at home. Good luck defending the world's longest land border!

They would likely have the full support of the EU as well as the war almost certainly triggering half the US population to go into active hostilities against itself, if not starting Civil War 2 outright. So there's that.

That's what I'd think. I know they're upset about cost of living and the rate of immigration, like every country as of late, but no matter how mad they are at their own left-leaning/centrist parties they would be livid at the US right.
