Planescape Torment or Undertale could work, though those stories are told a certain way. Xenogears could be the best of them all, but it would need a lot of content. Maybe an anime or something. They could do an Elder Scrolls series in the same vein as Fallout. Original story in the same canon. Maybe the Witcher series will eventually adapt the games? Like, I can't see Metroid working for instance unless there are a group of marines added to the cast. But if they take some liberties with adding some other folk for Samus to work with, I could see a number of interesting possibilities at that point. Like starting the movie with what is basically a detective investigation mixed with exploration, with gradual increases in offensive space pirate activity, with the last third of the movie being "we know what the space pirates are doing now, and holy crap we need to stop them but the space pirate vessels are preventing our battleships from bombarding! Samus and tagalongs, save the planet/star system!" I mean, it would still rub some fans the wrong way by adding characters, but Samus working together with other people has happened in universe before (she was with other people at the start of Fusion for instance). --- I am the Hunter of Topics.
