Very much feels like they used Sonic the Hedgehog as a basis for tone and comedic style here. Could go either which way. I think they should have gotten a slightly older actor for Lilo.

Doesn't look terrible but if you took out the insane CGI it kinda looks like a made for TV movie lol admittedly it's a movie not for me, no longer the target audience and that's fine. Hope it's good for the kids.

From what's shown, it looks like it's damn near exactly the same movie as the original. Stitch himself looks good. His original design lends itself pretty well to style like this/Sonic.

I'm actually hoping they take some liberties with the story somewhere. Otherwise, what's the point of this. Live action Mulan was inferior to the original, but at least it made the story different

sonic's tone just felt like any generic kids movie from the past 20 years (and not for nothing but that comedic tone was probably influenced by lilo and stitch in the first place)

Does David not exist in this one?

It looks like it'll be fine. Just fine. Prayers for Lilo's actress though b3cause I know people are going to rip her acting to shreds.

Lilo's actress doesn't seem like she's good enough to get anywhere close to capturing the kind of dynamic that the cartoon version of Lilo and Stitch had.

Granted, it's not every day you find a Shirley Temple or Macaulay Culkin, but that's kind of what this movie needs in order to be worthwhile.

There were quite a few (minor) differences I noticed at least. Like Jumba and Pleakley having actual human disguises instead of being aliens wearing human clothes but that seems more like a logical change cause their disguises were ridiculous in the original

Also it looks like maybe Agent Bubbles is trying to find Stitch too instead of being a CPS worker?

If you look at the cast, many of the voices from the original are in this. Some even playing the same character,
even the creator is still voicing Stitch.
some being older are just playing different characters

respect for that

A bunch of people who keep going to see them in theaters and buying them on DVD/BluRay/digital and streaming the hell out of them

As long as they continue to make a shitload of money they'll keep making them until they run out of animated films to remake, at which point they'll re-remake them with new live action actors

Right? Like if they have to do live action, at least do a prequel, so it's a different story. Like Musafa.

Blame the overseas markets, these movies would barely break even without them. With them, hand over fist.

Everyone on here is older. These are classics to us,
to people in their younger 20s and teens and even younger for most these arent classics to them, many never saw any of these.

i just see these as introducing them in a new way to newer generations, but its also a different take so older fans might still like it.

lm not saying theyre all good, but why not do this. If you have kids its also a thing that could get your kids into the stuff you liked as a kid as well. A relating issue

This is from the director of Marcel the Shell, but considering all the other live Disney remakes have had highly acclaimed directors, that doesn't guarantee much.

Yeah at the end of the original movie he stated he worked with the CIA during Roswell

But during the whole movie up to that point he was just a big tough CPS guy checking in on Nanis guardian skills.

Sounds like the live action version will have him just be a government agent hunting Stitch. Which is fine but I hope they dont drop the Lilo might get taken away storyline.
