Blue_Popo 03/19/25 7:48:09 PM #1:	Recently watched Predator and Prey. Prey first. I liked the concept and setting good. It was fun but not memorable. 6/10 Predator was better. Even though I was late to it. I enjoyed it more than Prey. There was an appeal to having super jacked guys in a jungle saying stuff that wouldn't be allowed today and fight an alien. 7/10 Predators was the most generic 2010s blockbuster I can think of. Everything is predictable. You know every one in the group of color was going to die. Knew the 2 white guys were crazy and would ultimately be Adrian Brody and the girl. Topher Grace heel turn was predicted. Royce revealing his name at the end was predictable. Action seemed worse than the other 2 despite being decades after or before. Definitely should have been followed up on instead of what we got after it. You can just about set a watch to the next death and there's nothing really surprising. Kickass concept, action, and casting. I enjoyed Prey in the moment but to be honest it's kind of faded over time for me, both in concept and memory. The second half didn't go as hard as it should have. It gets points for respectfully portraying indigenous people well, which is cool to see in a sci-fi movie, but if it wasn't for that I think it would have been pretty forgettable. It's still a worthy addition to the franchise with cool moments and a unique setting though --- RIP in Pieces GamerJM, 2007-2015.
