When I peek into conservative spaces even they're confused about it. At first they were just like "Haha he's trolling! Great joke Mr. President! Those Canadians have been taking advantage of us for too long! Of course we don't actually want to annex Canada and Greenland though".

But it's been a few months and he still keeps saying it. And more and more the sentiment is like "Haha ok... You can stop trolling now.... We get the joke... Wait, he is joking right?"

Maybe in a few more months it'll finally settle in that they've elected a completely deranged old man.

I'd like to think that invading Greenland and/or Canada would finally be the thing to wake Americans the fuck up and get them to start rioting and shutting shit down until Trump is abolished, but I don't have high hopes. Most people would just reflexively say "haha I don't pay attention to politics gosh politicians are so wacky please don't fire me from my job haha."

This is still valid, just substitute "Americans" for "CE." Or don't.

but realistically, no. I do not want to annex Canada.

If Canada wanted to join the US as several additional states, then sure. I am not opposed to a consensual consolidation into and expansion of the USA.

Johnson might actually be the biggest piece of shit out of the 3, pretty much every word out of his mouth is a lie and he uses religion as an excuse.

Say what you want about him, but he at least executes with his political ideology on the line. He'll do whatever he wants to maintain his stance in the party. If Trump weren't in there, then there would be a massive civil war to try and fill the void. He doesn't have his own agenda, he just goes whichever way the power goes.

I have literally never in my entire life heard anyone except Donald Trump so much as suggest the idea of annexing Canada. I don't think even MAGA wants to, at least not beyond "daddy Trump said so".

Mike Johnson would not be VP regardless of what happens to Trump. That's not how the presidential line of succession works.

It's not "if someone dies/is removed, everyone moves up a spot"; it's, "the next eligible person becomes president and everyone else keeps their current office." If Trump were removed, Vance becomes president and he would then get to nominate his own VP, who would have to be confirmed by both the House and Senate (an exception to the normal confirmation rules). If anything were to subsequently happen to Vance, that VP would then be the new president.

The only way Johnson gets into the White House is if both Trump and Vance resign/die/are removed together (or, at least, before any new VP is nominated and confirmed), in which case he becomes acting president and we then get to have to sort out the hilariously-badly-written laws about presidential succession and have a series of arguments about the difference between an "acting" president and an actual president.

When the regime destroys the economy and the ecology, it might be nice to know life goes on elsewhere.

This is why Canada would remain a territory of it was ever annexed. Unless they found a way to redraw the borders to be at best neutral (or be slightly in favor of the gop). After all, current territories will never become states because they would tip the balance in favor of the Democrats and that is just unacceptable
