A family-owned restaurant in Mississippi is facing backlash after a 48-hour online tirade that included a viral video revealing their open hostility to the LGBTQ+ community.

We dont do the trans or the lesbians or gays, said Nettie Yeager, who along with her husband Darwell owns Darwells Happiness Cafe in Long Beach, Mississippi.

The original post, since deleted, went viral after they uploaded it to Facebook Tuesday afternoon.

In the video, the duo offered a last-minute discount to real couples like them: Husband-wife, boyfriend-girlfriend, guy and girl couple, the real kind of couple, Darwell Yeager said from the restaurants kitchen.

When you come in for the next hour and half and you are a couple can produce a child couple well give you something free. How do you like that, folks? Darwell asked.

The negative reaction online was swift and inspired two days of doubling down by the owners.

Darwell Yeager said people were against him for being an outspoken conservative and that he wouldnt be bullied by the left.

I dont run after every dollar thats thrown at me if it comes from A source that I would prefer not to mingle with. I just would rather not do business with the source. Im not a prostitute to my industry, he said in one post.

In another, the co-owner said he personally makes sure there are No woke employees at Darwells.

Dont you wish you had a bad guy where you work to keep them out of your place of employment, he asked his followers.

In an overnight post on Thursday, Darwell Yeager called on Trump supporters to show up in MAGA gear with American flags for a 10% discount through Sunday, March 30. That offer was no longer visible hours later, the Clarion Ledger reports.

As the days-long diatribe ground on, the list of former customers and denunciations piled up.

Yea, I should have put apology in quotes. I hope that restaurant goes under and that they never recover financially until they truly feel remorse and learn from their mistakes and change their mindset...but we all know that'll never happen. Vile ass people.

Also I wonder if an old man and old lady would be turned away? Seeing as they're no longer a "can produce a child". Oh and I get the feeling they weren't asking for fertility test either. So those couples with an infertile/barren person wouldn't be denied either.

The coastal counties are actually slightly more left/progressive than the rest of the rest of the state. So much so that it's like going into a different country entirely if you travel north of I-10. That said, we totally voted Trump over Harris around here because "one seems bad, but the other is worse". That and we like to vote against our own interests.

I've actually seen cars driving around with gay/furry signage on their cars. Absolute brave souls if you also take into consideration the surrounding states as well.

Lol, she's too full of herself to ever consider that she's included in that and, indeed, it's the very thing that got her into this mess. Their little special was more about spite and exclusion than welcoming anyone.
