Ill play it but not at launch. Couldnt even if I wanted to as my time is going to Monster Hunter Wilds with a friend, so no need to pay full price for it.

i really, REALLY hope there are no major technical issues with it. chrono cross remaster being broken on every single platform even 2 years later has me traumatized >_>

I want to pick this up, but Expedition 33 is next week. I want to play 33 on release and want to try and play through both Lunar games consecutively. This means I will probably end up waiting.

While Grandia released in a problematic state? They patched it up. So even if this has issues? History suggests that Gung-ho will get the game patched up.

Even though they're not offering preorders they're saying there will be enough physical copies for everyone. I don't want to take any chances though. I'm ordering as soon as it's available.

I actually look forward to playing these games again.....I haven't touched lunar since I beat the PS1 versions on that tiny LCD screen that came with the PSone model back in like, 2001 I think.

*Another reason I hope this release is successful is because I want a lot of those working designs published games to get more re-releases in general.

Popful mail in particular is a game I've been wanting it's sega CD version to get ported to literally anything else for a long-ass time.*

Although let's be honest, even if pre-orders were available, Amazon is awful on release date delivery for games and you weren't getting it that day either way.

Really want this physical on Switch. Watching a review now but would like one that specifically goes over performance and the graphical changes.

Will get digital when it goes on sale. Intriguing but can wait.

There will probably be a mod to put the Working Designs translation / audio within the first week.

I'm so excited. But it is odd that they're not even offering digital pre-orders. Tried to find it on both the Xbox and PS Store and its just not for purchase yet

I would have to be retired to have time for that. Feels bad man.

I always wanted to play Lunar Legend again to see the story differences. I played it once years ago and don't remember

Squeenix seems to give particularly few shits about their remasters and ports. This one isn't fine by them.

The way he was talking seems to imply that it includes WD's balance changes, but he didn't directly address it. If so, that's unfortunate and I'll definitely be waiting for a sale.

I actually don't know what the current msrp for it is. Still haven't gotten over how disappointed I was with how Lunar 2 looked because it didn't seem to get the treatment that Lunar silver star harmony on psp got. Thought it was a ps1 game but it look more like nes or snes game. And even Grandia 2 port on the Switch looked much better.

Still hoping it's fun and will match that enjoyment I got when I played Lunar all those years ago. It's gonna be my last rpg for the ps4 after all, before the eventual switch to the new console and gen

In the U.S. at least it's $50 for digital and $55 for physical.

Ah thanks. Is this the first time that digital was outright cheaper than physical on release? Or rather, that physical was more expensive?

Also I assume that inflated price is due to the tariffs and/or political situation currently happening worldwide? Even Grandia collection was like, $30, or $40.

I only give the original a hard time, because it is surprising how much better Gamearts made the sequel. I don't think I am over selling this and now I feel like I am drawing Suikoden 1 to 2 parrels. Suiko 1 tells an amazing story extraordinary quickly. Lunar 1 has lovable character and at the time was a first with anime cut scenes and things like that. It only is carried if you like the characters. Otherwise the story is essentially Dragon Quest 1/2 levels.

I should let off on the Lunar 1 is average narrative, as I love Suikoden 1, but ONE more match for this I guess. Ya def should play Lunar 1 if ya never experienced it, but I guess battle fast forwarding happens.

Also as I posted. I know Happy Console Gamer does this on purpose. I don't really care about him anymore, but pretty funny how he always looks so pissed off in his thumbnail just for "ironic" reasons also the over reaction thumbnails are so annoying. I watched three reviews of these before and I might as well see what he has to say. I know everything about them by now.

Cait. Heh I didn't finish watching it, I wanted to hear some Soul Hackers 2 music and just w/e I do. But hehe I know about the game already. I actually had a picture of him smoking cigs and playing Final Fantasy 1 from his facebook it is gone now and it's not like that is a bad thing. I think it's funny he was lighting up to play Final Fantasy 1.

I know I am an addict but my go to game isn't say The Magic of Scheherazade when I need a fix. I am friend of Angry Joe on Facebook too still lol olde times. But ha I always remember that picture of Johnny smoking a cig looking angry playing FF1.

I feel like grandia 1 to grandia 2 comparison is more apt since it's probably by the same company.

Grandia felt like a chore to play after a while, it was boring and really overstayed its welcome when nothing interesting happens in the game and it's somewhat geared at a younger audience which is not inherently bad or anything. Just got tiresome by the second disc. Combat was a neat idea that would have been even nicer without ps1 typical slowdown.

Grandia 2 really stepped it up though in terms of slightly more interesting characters and it was also shorter which in this case is fine and not a problem. Same fun combat. I found myself really enjoying 2 despite that absolutely awful switch port.

I just hope the opposite doesn't happen here because I absolutely loved Lunar 1 all those years ago. It was just so nostalgically cozy and felt so 90s in the best way, with characters and art that I enjoyed

I actually just started playing Grandia 1 Remaster recently so this is good to know. I've just started to get a decent handle on the growth systems and stuff and I think the remaster lessened the grinding so hopefully it's not too bad. I'm not above barreling through something to be done with it when it starts to overstay its welcome, though. But these child character party members? Whoof, they're really not doing it for me.

There's also already been a few places where it feels like someone on the design team for that game used the world to try and normalize their "tastes" and it makes me uncomfortable.

Can't wait for the Xbox store to update tomorrow so I can grab this. Still nutty we couldn't preload it but it's only 6 GB so eh

Physical is up at Amazon for those who want it... There was a weird issue where you could add it to your cart but couldn't buy it but it seems to be fine now...

Meh, the switch version is more likely the version to run like ass despite the ported game being ancient like with suikoden remaster, tales of graces f remaster, and especially tales of symphonia's re-re-release.

Got the PS4 version like I wanted and honestly I'm just surprised in a good way the game is arriving within a day. Usually these amazon video game day one releases take like a week or more to arrive.

Yeah ps4 all the way, the only reason I got the crummy Grandia collection on Switch is because it was the only version available at the time and I really wanted to play Grandia 2 since people swore by it and said it was better than 1 (which I'm happy to find out is true)

Anyway, I just found out that the psp Lunar was easier, and had stuff like super meters, and hand drawn graphics, and that made me realize why I loved it in the first place. So I'm hoping this straight port of Lunar 2 will still be fun, eager to keep track and find out opinions from people playing it, as well as checking out playthrough videos.

I'm going to get it. My only experience with any of the Lunar games was getting Lunar 2 Eternal Blue collectors edition on the PS1, the one that came with a pendant that matched the one characters. I was a young kid, I think I gave it to my Mom. I never beat it but I remember kind of enjoying it.

Edit: Bought the Switch version from Amazon. Should be here Sunday.

I didn't see that the original physical price is EIGHTY DOLLARS. But it's discounted to be $5 more than the digital version.
