the only reason I know is easter is because I'm reminded midweek I have Good Friday off at work lol

and all the Easter stuff in shops let me know it's coming up

IDK growing up Easter was always very religious, like Christmas was too somewhat but again in many ways also very secular. So once I lost my religion, I just haven't done anything for Easter since then.

I did paint and roll some Easter eggs my first year here but the was more cultural exchange related lol. only thing I've done for Easter in the past 16 years

with kids maybe I'll do some secular celebration but yeah hasn't been really a thing for me since leaving home

Yes, but not as big as Thanksgiving or Christmas

At Easter, I get together with the family and either have Roast Lamb or Roast Beef.

My parents do ham with baked beans for Easter. It's a much smaller gathering than Thanksgiving or Christmas.

I must be confusing you, thought you were in the UK for some reason

there's definitely chocolate eggs and hot cross buns everywhere here but that's the extent of my realizing it's Easter time lol

Yep; our traditional meals that we eat together with nearby family.

For breakfast it's fried ham, toast, hard-boiled eggs and caramel pecan rolls.

Lunch is just nibbling on food (and candy) throughout the day.

For dinner it's ham, spaetzle w/green beans, bread and salad, with lemon meringue pie for dessert.

I don't celebrate Easter and I don't really have a "family" anymore (at least not immediate family). But even before my parents died we never really did anything for Easter.

This is the first year my family isn't doing anything. Dad passed away last March and we did one last Easter in the house we all grew up in before selling it over the summer. One sister is taking her kids to the in-laws and I may go over to visit Mom in her new house tomorrow, but that's about it.

Just pasta tomorrow, final serving out of the three I get from my regular ingredients. Christmas tends to involve a fancier dinner at my parents' or brother's place, but for Easter I cook for just myself and not out of the ordinary.

The family gets together for a meal, but it can really vary.

Sometimes a ham, sometimes turkey and fixings, but other times pasta, brisket, BBQ, pizza or whatever.

I might see if the grocery store has a prepared ham dinner or something. Otherwise it will probably just be chicken breast and broccoli.

Not much in the way of religiously significant Easter food anyway. Closest thing I can think of is Seder, and that belongs with Passover, not Easter - and as such with judaism rather than christianity for the most part. Participated in one of those at church a few years ago, regardless, largely a ritual with a proper meal following after.

We started having a Mexican Fiesta lunch on Easter a few years ago, instead of another big dinner with all the extras that we have at Thanksgiving and Xmas.

This year, we got Fazoli's.

Their baked spaghetti is amazing. There's a layer of cheese on top that's kind of like the cheese on pizza.

The breadsticks are also better than what Olive Garden has.

A+ as well. I think we only did Mexican food once, but we have done it for Christmas before. No margaritas though :(

Hell yeah. I used to know people and we would get a whole tray of them brought out extra buttery and garlicky. We would go there at least once a week. Probably took 9 years off of my life but worth it

Our tradition is a lamb leg plus sides. Mom usually takes the effort to make some appetizers and I make a Paskha for dessert, so it ends up being one of the fanciest meals of the year. Nowhere close to Christmas though.
