There is definitely a big gulf in quality between the important routes and the ones they added to pad it out to 100 endings.

I've definitely had more hits than misses so far, but not sure how many routes I haven't touched at all yet. I think like......maybe 5 or so that haven't been started at all?

Should I be farming the VR battles for BP? I wasn't sure if you could do them more than once.

Wouldn't bother. I'm not even halfway through everything yet and I have almost enough BP to max out everything that matters (and am currently sitting on 220k without having had an opportunity to spend it in ages lol.

The gathering resources are a much tighter crunch. At the same time you don't unlock the ability to access areas to take full advantage of gathering until later.

That's why I'd just kind of bounce around to whatever you're looking to level up/unlock at any given moment.

VR battles are a complete waste of time, never bother with them.

That route was pretty short but definitely super worth it. I actually hope there's at least one more route that explores some of this stiff on the fringes of it.

Yeah there is WAY more than enough time to max everything easily in this game.
I have several characters maxed already and I'm still not out of the top half of the flowchart.

Oh wow given how present she was at the top, I didn't think there would be a path down here at the bottom that's apparently a full on Darumi route. I GUESS that should have been predictable given the consequences of the other choice there?

Gotta say I like Darumi a lot more than I thought I would. (KG route spoilers)
While her gimmick sometimes runs itself into the ground, I do like that she is actually one of the most considerate and kind members of the cast. She's just really fucked up in the head because of her past, but beyond the surface level fetishizing of killing games and stuff she's kind of a cinnamon roll.

I'll admit I suspected her a lot during the Killing Game route of being the 'successor', but when it turns out not only she wasn't but was actively trying to help Takumi by offering her life to Tsubasa, I'm pretty much Team Darumi now lol.

I've had her near bottom tier for most of my playthrough and then obviously things can change on your fast, because she's soared up.

Really just no point getting a full read on all the characters until you've done a huge majority of the game it seems.

Also because if I tried to rank them Takemaru told me he was gonna beat my ass.

The only character I'm starting to worry is just not gonna get anything to completely turn me around is Kurara. Who knows, though. Oh, and Gaku, but I don't want to like him.

Also speaking of KG route I'm really bummed whenever I think about how in most routes Kamyuhn probably starves to death in the cave because nobody goes to help her. Hopefully she comes back and gets saved again in later ones I do!

There are absolutely different threshold for affection points for different character at different tiers, because getting Kako to level 2 is taking FORVER.

Yeah for sure, I went from 1 to 2 with Shouma in literally one gift earlier and noticed that was odd, and it takes multiple gifts with most others.

I'm at 8 PREFERRED GIFTS with Kako between 1 and 2 now and still nada

Man it's just........really, really depressing to think about what Darumi's day to day is like on literally every route that doesn't have her as a focus.......

I've been saying since Route 0 that she was just getting more and more genuinely fucked up as the days went on!

Everytime she starts up a genuine conversation it just eats me up.

This has been the case before, and it gave me an instant 5 star with a unique "clearly not the real 5* convo" result.

Still, gonna give it 2 more before switching to Ima....maybe the trick is I have to get him up first??

So, those playing through the game, is it worth it?

80-90 hours in and I think it's far more than worth it. Haven't been this....satisfied isn't the right word since I'm not done yet, but I've never been happier to invest this much time into a game.

I can't legitimately say where it falls in the Kodaka and Uchikoshi rankings until it's all over and I've let it stew, but the potential to be the best for both is there.

However if you're not here for those creators and the reason you're asking is "is it worth it as a strategy game if I don't care about either of those peope", no probably not. This isn't Fire Emblem. The combat is good but it's not why anyone should be here.

Absolutely stunned at the ability to make such an absurd route ending this legitimately depressing.

I got Kako level 2 from like 3-4 gifts. I think some characters are just locked on some routes sometimes, and it's not always clear when.

I gotta say, 3/4 through the first route, it's weird how everyone forgot about Hiruko. They never go look for her outside the academy like they do with Sirei, they never talk about her with the students from the decoy academy, and when they find the drained woman at the invader base, no one considers that it might be her.

....What the fuck is this completely new music??

Not having a real one right now in this route I shouldn't be feelings this level of legitimate depression I need to go check out one of the wacky routes or something

Almost certainly not the actual best route in the game, but will be surprised if it doesn't stick with me the most. Only the second time Kodaka managed to get a viceral reaction like this outta me.

For some reason, a bond rank just went from 2 to 5 after I gave I gave him three gifts. I don't know why.

So I think I figured that out

If you give gifts to someone but they can't advance at that time for plot reasons, those points still do stay with the character. Meaning when you CAN advance their ranking, it's still going to factor in the gifts you gave when you couldn't.

That's what happened to me with Kako, as soon as something happened in the story and she became bondable again, she went up a level with every gift.

That might be true, but I'd given Eito like three items, and then he just jumped right up to level 5 from level 2. That doesn't explain this just by itself.

Oh, no, that one is because whatever route you're on for has one that's just for that route because you can't do his regular chain for whatever reason. I got that same thing and when I went back to another route and it had dropped down again.

Almost done with the (still top half) Slasher route. Have one more branch left from the looks of the flowchart where you don't kill zombie Nozomi, but it's too late now. Will have to finish that and the last branch of the Comedy route I have left tomorrow.

Not sure how I feel about the Slasher route in general. I feel like it should have been good but I just couldn't get past the suspension of disbelief that they kept bleeding out so fast they couldn't be revived this time around. The other routes with lots of deaths so far have been pretty good about justifying it (either drained blood or lots of time between them dying and finding the body) but this one is just 'oh no someone got bit in the neck!' > instantly its too late to save them. Despite Takumi literally getting beheaded in the same route and then being brought back... and it takes 10 days for him to wake up from that for some reason?

Also idk if the last branch answers it but I'm really confused on who killed Moko if it was supposed to be Takumi with the G'ie data, but it seems like the zombie path doesn't have that.

Granted there is still more that isn't explained here like why sometimes there seems to be two Takumis... so who knows. I'm not really expecting an answer to that particular one any time soon.

There's a section in the gallery, but it's not accessible from the main menu selection for some reason - so when you have control during a route.
