Granted, I'm not a melee focused build, so my only exposure is the boxing side mission, but the game makes a point of saying that strong attacks break blocks and I've punched these dudes with three or four strong attacks in a row and they just keep blocking. The only success I have is by parrying them.

Is it just a matter of lacking Body?

Iirc, pretty much. You can cheese most of those fights by just punching a lot and dodging/parrying but they're really not fun for non-melee builds early on. The twins fight was so fucking annoying until I "got it".

I didn't have a problem with that fight tbh. I got absolutely wrecked the first time, but it was basically the first thing I tried to do in the game. It went fine when I went back after a few level ups, even if I wasn't leveling body.

The guy with the car wasn't too bad. As always, the key is to bitch about it, you'll do it right away after.

The military prick though, holy shit, I think I spent an hour on that guy. And then I aggro'd him and his gang by insulting him, then I died because I was fucking around with the monowire instead of shooting them, so I had to do it again lmao.

I bought some of those gorilla arms, but I might get rid of them just because they get rid of the nail polish lmao

Fashion > utility

Gorilla Arms are nice just because they give a passive bonus to Body.

Orange is +6, so you can have 14 and open any Body check door in the game.

Yeah, they do seem to be the meta choice. Like there's stuff about the Monowire in the intelligence tree which is why I bought them first, but while it is a cool weapon, it's not really practical to use with that build.

If you haven't started Phantom Liberty there are further upgrades to all of them, Monowire 's makes it more hacky.

But I honestly recommend a melee run. You can skip Intelligence entirely so you can get 20 in 3 attributes and 18 in the other.

And I don't think I'm anywhere near PL lol. I've played forty-eight hours and still haven't met Rouge which I think is the main quest.

I like to pair Sandevistan with smart weapons; I leap high in to the air with the leg mod, hit Sandy, sweep the field with my smart weapon, Sandy drops out, everything is dead.

You could do Reflex SMG/Assault Rifle and get the Air Kerenzikov.

It's literally that, activating the Kerenzikov in midair basically freezes you up there.
