I havent enjoyed GTA since San Andreas >_>

Played a bit of 4 in college and it was whatever

Played 2 hours of 5 and didnt like it

6 looks more of the same and I was unimpressed by it

Did I live long enough to see myself become the villain? >_>

Well it was mostly cutscenes and no gameplay. I do like the more narrative focus.

Ngl I tuned out that trailer I heard the song I Ran (so far away) in my head. Im old.

I figure there are still a couple years until it releases on PC, so I'll take another look then and see if it interests me more.

But I similarly fell off GTA 5 pretty fast, and wasn't too impressed with 4 either. I think it just isn't for me anymore.

Id say you just lived long enough to develop different tastes. I loved GTA up to San Andreas. Since then its all felt very juvenile and underwhelming for me. Tastes change as we get older, I guess.

The trailer was amazing from a technical standpoint, assuming all the scenes were taken directly from the game engine.

I did have a thought that the main characters of this game would be children or not born yet at all when the original GTA game came out.

The trailer was boring. I don't see the hype in GTA6.

I like the character setup more than I thought I would. Do anything to make ends meet.

I replayed San Andreas 2-3 years ago and it still holds up to me. Played GTA5 immediately and didnt like it

I'm just glad we finally got another trailer. I'm not feeling the super hype I did when 5's trailers were coming out, but I'm still heavily looking forward to this game.

While GTA still has some juvenile kind of humor, the past couple of games have been relatively more mature for the most part, especially 4.

It was very technically impressive, but I'm probably going to skip it. Modern gaming just doesn't do it for me aside from a few series like Silent Hill, Like a Dragon, Horizon, Resident Evil, and Kojima & Suda stuff.

I have and still need to play San Andreas... I have 4 and 5 too and also never played them. I loved 3 and disliked Vice City.

Theyve been more grounded. I wouldnt have said more mature. But if you like them, nothing wrong with that.

Not saying you shouldnt enjoy them. Theyre just not for me at this point.

I had the most fun playing GTA online with my friends. We'd mostly fuck around, but we also did the contact missions, heists, and grindy stuff. After many hours in online, I tried playing vanilla GTA V was very boring. I couldn't do it :(

They don't really need to show gameplay for me. I already know what to expect from GTA. The trailer and the new website showcasing the characters did more for me than gameplay videos would.

i became the villain a long time ago when i became disenchanted and bored of GTA when 5 came out

it's absurd that the latest GTA came out during the 360/PS3 gen when you could still rent games

I liked the "arcadey" feel of the PS2-era GTA games. The modern ones take themselves too seriously.

GTA 5 is still pretty wacky. GTA 4 was the first and only one so far to take itself seriously.

I do expect GTA 6 to go the RDR2 route tho, which I do kinda want

There are two mods that completely fix it; one of them even giving you the option to disable the 7th-gen brown filter over everything

I thought the mod was just a bandaid and it still had some problems

I don't think it makes you a villain to not be interested in a video game

But personally I'm beyond hyped, it looks like an amazing world to explore

Obviously the series just isn't for you. I have enjoyed the series since the first game and have LOVED the series since they went 3D. I thought 4 and 5 were both amazing. From a technical perspective 5 was a marvel but my real love was always Vice City.

Im just loving the setting/vibe of this. Vice City remains my favorite game in the series and I worried this wouldnt even feel like the same place and would just be a massive city but even in this trailer they seem to show they hit the appeal of being ocean front city, you have the beach shack part, actual city part but then you have the seedy parts of the city where the prostitutes presumably hang out and you even have some of the more isolated like gator/marsh areas outside city proper. You definitely have the boat/jet ski ocean part of the money and entertainment too with the clear blue water that gives the Miami Vice vibe.

I have such distinct memories of cruising down by the shore with all the neon lights and this trailer highlights a very bright and colorful neon district with elite sports cars. That excites me. I hope there is a classic Vice City station that brings back a bunch of the 80s music from the first game and please have Fernando on Emotion 98.3

So I can understand why someone who has always been luke warm about the series and doesn't really care about it would feel that way but for those of us who have always loved the series, and loved Rockstar in general we have a reason to be pretty excited and with my love of Vice City I personally really feel a reason to be looking forward to this.

All in all this just feels right and is shaping up to be a masterpiece.
