They had an arc where she was trying to study and get a college degree and then they dropped all of that just to make her into an influencer with followers --- Not changing this sig until the Knicks win the NBA Championship! I was never an SNL watcher when Samberg was on but between Brooklynn 99 and the Adam Sandler movie That's My Boy that is super under the radar for a Sandler movie he was great on both. What drew me into Brooklynn 99 in the first place though believe it or not is Joe Lo Truglio. Forgive my reminiscing history lesson here but he was on this fucking great sketch comedy show in 1994/1995 that started my senior year of high school a few months before graduation on MTV called The State. It was LOADED with people that would go on to make a bunch of movies I love and funny shows. Guys like Ken Marino, Thomas Lennon who made Reno 911, Kerri Kenney, and a host of others. These guys pop up in movies and shows all the time and often together to this day. Their fingers are surprisingly all over a bunch of movies and projects. So yeah he was the one who drew me in and I just loved the show. Also as good as I am on usually picking up on peoples backgrounds it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize Dirk Blocker who played Hitchcock was the son of Dan Blocker who played Hoss on Bonanza which is one of my favorite western shows ever as a huge western junkie. All in all though just a great comedy show and Andre Braugher was fucking top tier. It is also really weird to see Stephanie Beatriz in interviews as she smiles so much and has a much higher pitched voice and is so bubbly and happy. Her contrast compared to her Diaz character is a completely 180. Top tier show that still makes me chuckle even after repeated viewings of episodes I have seen over and over. And with another Paul Rudd connection Joe was in Wanderlust. That movie has FIVE state members in it and was entirely written by two State members. And in yet another Paul Rudd movie Joe was in was Role Models that was once again written by two State members, directed by a State member and Ken while writing the movie is also in the movie as well along with Kerry (State member) as Auggies parents in that movie. Seriously the amount of stuff these guys end up involved with is kind of wild over the years as such a big fan of that show back in 94 when they were all in their early to mid 20's and just a little bit older than me.
