As a kid drank mt dew twice a day and brushed once a day. Never flossed. I paid the price for my sins

Unfortunately, kid me had a thumb sucking habit that misaligned my teeth but otherwise I've taken good care of them.

This is pretty much me, except 48 instead of 40.

My only saving grace is that the genes for really strong teeth run in my family (my grandfather died in his 80s and still had his original teeth, no dentures or major repairs). Otherwise I'd probably have been worse off.

Also, I had five wisdom teeth instead of 4 (and because of that one of them was impacted and one was semi-impacted), and I've had all of them removed (along with one other molar).

But if you're willing to part with some bucks, you can let your teeth rot and get them replaced with more beautiful teeth!

Luxury face bones aren't covered by a lot of insurance though.

We are tol now that mouthwash is bad.

Guess that depends on who is advising you. My previous dentist and dental hygienist both recommended it, though we did have to switch twice to find a brand that did not cause (fixable) discoloration for me. Have a new dentist by now as the previous one retired and a new hygienist as I live elsewhere now, but neither has told me to stop with it.

i brush three times a week, MWF, because i am just too damn lazy. i also still have all four wisdom teeth at 35. my teeth has always been fine and my dentist always compliment it and that i dont have cavities and stuff but she always tell me to have my wisdom teeth removed.

The only real advantage it has is that the insurance company negotiates a lower rate with the dentist, so you don't have to pay full price for the stuff you do end up paying out of pocket.

It's true. My wife is a hygienist and so I'm constantly hearing about it, but it's true. I'm not perfect but I brush, I floss pick, I use fancy mouth wash, and I wear a night guard.

Also guys you should never brush your teeth after having soda because soda is so acidic it will weaken the enamel on your teeth and you will just scrape your enamol off by a thin margin when you go to brush it.

You can; you just need to either rinse your mouth with water or wait at least 30min for your saliva to wash the acid away. You should do this for other acidic things like OJ as well.

How long should I wait until after eating pure malic acid?

I do drink soda in moderation, though sugarless. This doesn't mean that there's no assault on your teeth at all, as it is still acidic, with artificial sweeteners to counter that. I don't take much stock in all the evils prescribed to artificial sweeteners, but there's no denying that the end result is still not exactly a health drink.

Sugarless soda is actually even worse for you because of the artificial sweetener they replace the sugar, particularly aspartame. If anything, finding soda with sugar but without high fructose corn syrup is better for you. That still doesn't take into account the acidity and preservatives, but at least sugar is just sugar...even if there's a lot of it.
