With some of the things that happen in this track, i should check out this composer

Subterranean hell but without the aspects that create the stained glass and teach you lies about the dance floor

One time there was a youtube video with a part in it where Hue Cycles Entire Color Spectrum was placed behind a low quality jpeg image of Yogi bear and a corrupted voice saying IM ALBERT EINSTEIN and it made my friends little sister terrified screaming and running out of the room

Check up on which is my preferred of the in-every-year tracks? The status is still the case that I prefer this over rftm

Miralodia Expressway is pretty neat. Like a mix of Mario Kart and Castlevania, which is a vibe. I like it more each time I hear it. The actual Castlevania song is solid, but pretty mid, especially for the franchise. Don't think I liked any of the Vampire Survivors tunes, so that should come with a grain of salt.

Main Theme is fun Amiga junk. Never gonna turn down a good time. TBIYTC more like WHATEVER

Staying put in the tiebreaker for my favorite song in B4. Right below it is this pack of 4, with very enjoyable things all over. Miralodia goes real crazy though, and Best is Yet To Come continues to be a undisputed classic I don't get tired. Amber and Yogi are close competence, but I think I'm sold on my votes.

When the weakest song for the day is Parallel Damacy, that's pretty good.

Its no wonder I had the Katamari songs mixed up for a while, with how dreamy Parallel Damacy sounds. The instruments are doing magical fairytale while the sound effects are warping space around you. The vocalist could be singing a lullaby and yet somehow sounds right at home going through the glitch zone from 2:36-2:50. Talk about a feel-good tiebreaker.

I supported Amber Scenery. When I first heard it, my reaction was 0:26-0:52 and 1:05-1:31 are the good parts, the rest is filler. Now, I appreciate how the filler goes through multiple mini buildups and payoffs, varying the structure a little compared to the more strongly melodic parts. And as for those parts, Im now absolutely obsessed with them. This ones been on loop for a while.

So far, most of the songs that overlap at I wanted them to win and I predicted they would win have indeed won, the biggest exception being Seimeisen. However, its premature to close the book on Bracket B, because I have Amber Scenery as a retiree and... uh... that might not happen.

I love Miralodia Expressway. I kinda wish it didn't have the 'speed up' segment there but other than that it's just a great homage to Mario Kart and Castlevania all at once and it slaps. 9/10

Amber Scenery is also an homage to Castlevania, more directly I guess. I think it's largely from Dawn of Sorrow? I dunno, it's pretty good 7/10

The Yogi thing sure is classic "why does this game have music that's so good" idk it's fine 6/10

I'm not in a good musical mood right now, so rating music is more difficult... For instnace, I definitely don't "love" (which is what the 8 range means) Miralodia Expressway right now, but it does lots of neat things. So I'd better give it the benefit of the doubt that I would love it when in a normal mood (and then there's the fact that I will not be revisiting any music rated below an 8, so when in doubt, just rate it an 8 to ensure I come back to it).

The first match is hard as close enough that I feel a heavy weight on my shoulders. I could be the one to flip it!! Scary! (Except I think I voted for the same song twice lol)

I confess that I've never been a big fan of Evelyn's covers. Granted, I'm also no expert on them, so if there's any hidden gems out there, I do apologise. That being said, learning how to emulate the styles of other composers has definitely worked in their favor. The Mario Kart style sting the intro is very appropriate, followed up by bits of Castlevania/Bloodborne flavour gothic horror, all with a very punchy retro sound font. But it still sounds unique enough all things considered. I definitely like this more than any of their covers I've heard!

The crystal sounds in the intro whee ... I don't really know the original to this well, which might do this remix some favours. I like the way the melody ascends punctuated by these sharp stings. Fun "matching" pair of songs this go around.

I like it when the song increases in intensity. But there's a cute little melody in there too. It's charming, especially for a licensed Yogi Bear game.

I'm always like kinda frustrated when this song inevitably shows up, not because I hate it. The opposite really. It consistently sits in the upper half of my favourites every year, but after awhile it's just like lmao welllllllp time to see one of my top five songs get fed to the wolves again. Oh well, at least it's as enchanting as always to hear.

i completely forgot this game was the bloodborne kart one holy fuck i did not expect one of the best mario kart songs ever to come from it!!! I actually don't care for the intro at all but its only six seconds until it becomes Sexy and then slap bass mmmmmm yes. Amber Scenery though... my god. Incredible remix of an already incredible song! I love when the Manabu Namiki Adventure Rebirth synth comes in a lot lot lot yeah this rules I'm sorry Miralodia.......

you can't just sit me in front of an amiga song and not expect me to love it lol, crunchy beefy tracker snares will never disappoint me EVER its IMPOSSIBLE 1:50 is basically like crack to me AND THEN IT COMES BACK. WITH A HOT BASS GEEEEEEZ yeah very cool song! I... actually am coming around to TBIYTC finally LOL i know this is probably surprising and to some people disheartening to hear but idk I think I finally do just like this song now, I used to find it really boring but I do enjoy it now. idr what i was like last year maybe i already like it last year too idk my listenings to this song are kind of a blur. anyway it still doesn't get my vote but I will not be sad if I am voting for the loss here
