I only learned about this recently, it looks fun as hell. Basically there's a dozen or so commanders you can choose from, each focusing on a different play style and completely modified units. Like one has a starport, expensive units, and you construct units from special battleships that are nowhere else in the game. As you complete levels you get experience and level up, unlocking new abilities and units.

And the levels are different, usually with timed objectives.

Looks fun as hell, wondering if anyone's played it?

Time is a funny thing, you know? I guess in the big picture of my life, you were only a blip. But oftentimes, those "blips" make the biggest impacts.

I enjoy SC2 Co-Op, although I'm too cheap to unlock any of the commanders, so the only ones I have full access to are the three everyone gets and the four that came with LotV. (I main Swann.)

Unfortunately, there hasn't been any official support for co-op in... literally years? (Although there is still a rotating weekly mutation.) I believe people have made custom maps that play around with the co-op mechanic, adding new commanders and whatnot, but I haven't tried any of them out.

I did for a little while. The story didn't really go anywhere after the end though so it's not like you need to play it for study purposes.

Is there a campaign? I thought it was just the random missions?

Unfortunately every commander costs money despite the mode being abandoned. They couldn't even lump them in a discount bundle.

It is not really a campaign but a bunch of missions. As others have said it is abandoned at this point and commanders are like $5 each and are never on sale. You do get a few with game pass that come with one of the expansions I think (all 4 campaigns are on game pass) plus the 3 that are auto unlocked.

It has given me some enjoyment playing through them again on game pass and messing with the extra commanders. Best part is how much it brings to the modding community imo as there are quite a few campaign mods that swap factions or races along difficulty and other things.

I still hop on and do co-op from time to time.

Damn, Blizzard really did fuck up SC2 with stuff like this.

The co-op missions are quite fun to do at least once
