So, my fianc calls me at 11. Shes at work. Shes locked herself out of her car and shes panicking. I cant find the spare keys. AAA wont arrive until Monday. So I go to Home Depot and buy an aluminum rod and some air shims. I use find my and track my fiancs car to where she parked.

I spend the next 2 hours in extreme heat warning trying to figure out how to open up this tiny black Toyota Yaris. Im trying to hit the unlock button, get the handle, anything with this little bar. Im on the phone with panda detailing every single thing Ive tried and my lack of progress thus far. Eventually some guy pulls over and comes to help me. Finally, after 2 hours, it pops open.

and then immediately some other guy comes driving up and is going, dude thats my car. And my first thought it , oh its a Good Samaritan, hes just saying that to scare someone off and Im like no man its okay I got the owner on the phone. Its her car. Were all good. And hes like no dude, thats my car.

son of a bitch. There is a second black Toyota Yaris with identical bumper stickers 50ft down the same road. And I mean identical. Same model, same color, same stickers, same placement, same road. The license plate number is only off by one digit. Its a freaking clone. I even had panda on FaceTime and as this man drives off in his car, she was like, thats my car. He just gaslit you and hes stealing my car. What were the fucking odds?

I was so embarrassed. The guy helping me probably was embarrassed. Anyway the guy drove off. then I walked 50ft, found her car and popped it open first try. Shes now home safe and treated me to a Ritas water ice for my troubles.
