I'd say I'm cautiously optimistic for the DCEU. Thinking on it, I do feel like this movie didn't need to have any other heroes in it and would have been a pretty great stand alone Superman movie. But with that said this movie didn't feel like it was "Superman and Friends". There will probably be a new Batman but they will still be doing the Reeves Batman stuff separately lol Which, honestly, is probably the way to go. Snyder has problems but he knows you can't actually release a CBM that long in cinemas. It was very visually striking and was among the most cinematic action movies I had seen, especially back in 2006.
