While they exist here, they're not that widespread. What we seem to have more of is Taco Mundo, and I order from them on occasion.

Well what do you know - Taco Bell in the Netherlands went bankrupt today. From what I read they have been here ten years, with at least the initial plan to open 50 locations, but obviously it did not quite work out.

I hate when people are like "it's not REAL Mexican food!" I know, if I wanted real Mexican food I'd go to one of the many local places around here. Sometimes I just want taco bell and not real Mexican food.

I think that happened here in Japan as well a few decades ago, although a few Taco Bells have reopened recently.

A little Googling suggested this wasn't their first bankruptcy in the Netherlands either, there may have been reboots. At any rate, they were largely in the bigger cities in the Randstad, I dont think I ever came across one. Whereas I do have a Taco Mundo in my town.

:D I can say mine is to my liking, but as always with chain restaurants, it's hard to say how one location compares to another. Also, we're talking delivered food, so I am sure a connaisseur will sadly shake his head and mutter "el Sash es loco".

The only time I get taco bell is if its 1 am and nothing else is open. Usually, I'll still opt for waffle house instead. Otherwise, there are a ton of authentic taquerias near me and they are way better AND cheaper than taco bell. It's baffling that people will actually choose to pay more for shittier food when there are better alternatives readily available

I was once at a Taco Bell at 1:30 in the morning in East Lansing with a handful of drunk friends. A woman locked eyes with me and fellated the burrito she had in her hand before taking a bite. I don't think it was as sexy as she intended it to be...

Regardless, I was saved the need to react by hearing that someone just puked in the bathroom so we just got out with our food and ate as we walked.

but even then it's going to be an issue with your own digestive health, barring some sort of undercooking or contamination in the food itself which is also unlikely since it's all precooked even before the individual restaurants get them

taco bell in particular, since their food is binding due to being mostly bread
