I think this "order" will just make it worse, especially with all the fake ICE agents. It's horrid.

I saw elsewhere that this is basically the start of the escalation that's going to see ICE become the Gestapo. We're only a few short steps away now from private paramilitaries like the "Proud Boys" being hired as enforcement arms of ICE (basically now the concentration camps are finishing construction people over time are going to get more violent in self-defence, this gets the Regime to bring in extra arms and give them license to do as they wish).

It's more accurate to say they simply won't be charged at all for anything ever (not that law enforcement has a high rate of self-discipline and enforcement of the rules on itself to begin with ofc), and over time the laws will get rewritten (like Trump is doing now) to allow ICE to use whatever means they deem necessary/do as they please.

After all you only need to pardon someone if they were found guilty of breaking the law.

When a leftist/Democratic president gains power and disbands ICE, after the organization has gone through this hiring spree and militarization, where do you think these radicalized young men and women who work for ICE go?

my prediction is that it ends up being like pro-Saddam forces in Iraq or the KKK during the late 19th century where it effectively becomes an unruly armed paramilitary organization
