So they want to use "block chain" as crowd funding to make new anime instead of just directly crowd funding it... Sounds like another scam.

This is never gonna work. Imagine trying to license this shit to a distributor and getting every moron with a stake to agree on this.

Either you don't really own the rights or you've somehow managed to create an OVA that can't be watched anywhere except on the computers it was made on.

Ponzi scheme not pyramid scheme.

Crypto can theoretically be used for a purpose like this except

  1. It's a redundant abstract layer for what you're really trading which is private equity.
  2. You can just sell the private equity and skip the crypto to get this kind of project running faster.
  3. This is functionally just a dumber way to do crowdfunding.


But the legality of it all makes me think you're not really purchasing rights at all. The cost of the coin going up are your "royalties" except that's not guaranteed to happen either.
