A teenage girl is charged with attempted murder of 17 people at a primary and secondary school in Nybro in May, reports Barometern.

The girl, who is believed to have a serious mental disorder, confronted 15 first-graders and two teachers with a knife in each hand in a hallway. One of the teachers managed to wrestle the girl down and prevent anyone from being harmed.

Prosecutor Nina Erlandsson says that the teacher made a "heroic effort" and that a serious school incident came very close to occurring.

So, we're talking about a couple of seconds. The girl herself has said in questioning that she was at the school to kill. And she's talking about many, many people, both children and teachers.

Glad she was stopped. I'm assuming Sweden makes it harder to get a hold of guns?

A few things:

  1. Teacher is a fucking hero and deserves to be treated as such for the rest of their lives
  2. Girl is clearly incredibly disturbed and needs serious help
  3. And THIS IS WHY GUN LAWS ARE IMPORTANT - if this girl had a gun, you would've had a dozen people dead.

I actually had a vid rec'd to me as I watch police videos and it was to do with American school shootings.

There was one where a guy had mental health issues and he had his gun out but a teacher managed to stop him.
