Basically the state of Washington is trying to implement a law that requires priests to report any child abuse that they're told about during confession. The priests call it anti-Catholic because confession is supposed to be completely private. I personally side with the state on that one. Like, I understand the point of confession, but I don't see how someone can hear "my sin is that I raped a child" and just carry on like normal.
