apple, by a huge margin. but its not like nintendo isn't guilty of overpricing their software.

Apple's over-pricing has had a more negative impact, because other smartphones have realized they can just charge the same for their high-end phones, and nobody will bat an eye. So there basically isn't an "Apple Tax" anymore, or at least not to the extent there used to be, because Samsung and Google and whatnot have just joined in.

Also, I'm still salty about Apple removing the headphone jack.

A Mac mini/base laptop is among the best values in tech and will last a decade.

The only reason this exists is because Apple started being seen as a value brand

full of enhanced features and everything the consumer may need.

MSRP is the normal default price that one expects when nothing special is happening. Sales mostly happen when a company needs the extra sales because theyre not selling enough normally.

Sure, but relative to the rest of the market am I spending more or spending less if I choose to participate with Nintendo as opposed to participating with Sony or Ms? Yeah the console is cheaper, but the games and peripherals never go on sale so am I actually saving more in the long term?

This is where Im at. Then you add in that the console is cheaper because its less capable.

Its not really Nintendos fault that their games stay relevant and are evergreen while still having a sustainable budget while Sony and MS sell their employees life savings to make one and done blockbusters or failed attempts to chase trends.

Nintendo never discounts games, charges $80 for empty world Mario Kart, and sells you 20 year old chips.

Apple products are also much less capable and locked down compared to their peers on the market.

Nintendo while greedy as all hell, didn't sell a stand for 1300 before taxes. And just for reference, you can machine that stand yourself for less than 200.

Nintendos never sale policy isnt just about their games staying relevant. Plenty of them arent and dont sell well at their price point. Its just their belief as a company that discounts will damage the brand and lead to making less money as a whole.

Depends on what you want. Apple is more capable at its price point in many areas than competitors.

But if you want to tinker and play games, then yeah the 3rd party support isnt there.

on a dollar for dollar comparison you get way more potential out of main apple products like their phones or computers.
