Note, this does not count how late you stay up drinking. If you start drinking the previous night and are still drinking at 2am, that doesn't count as before 8am.

I've always kind of liked the idea of just being buzzed all day (ya know...on rare occasion, not all the time), but I've never had much booze before 8pm. Maybe 1 beer here or there, after 5, but definitely not dedicated drinking.

I used to work this swing shift schedule that was 1st shift on Monday and 2nd shift Tuesday and Wednesday and 3rd shift Thursday and Friday nights. There was a time or two after my third shift nights Id drink a beer or two in the morning after working all night to try to make me sleepy. So around 0700. I couldnt ever sleep past 1030 so the sooner I got to sleep the better.

I almost put this in the OP, but I didn't want to say the answer for people. In my opinion, no. Having one or two drinks with alcohol is not the same as "drinking" Like I'll drink a beer, but I'm not "drinking"

this is how you dive of liver failure in your 40s TC, and i can tell you from experience its not a fun way to watch someone go. behavior like that builds on itself.

Yeah. Some state bowling tournaments with the league buddies basically amounted to drinking weekends with occasional bowling interruptions. I was woken up by a knock at the room door and a waiting shot glass many times.

The earliest is probably like 5 or 6am.

I start drinking in the morning pretty much every day that I don't have to go to work. Although I'm usually not up that early on my days off. I usually start around 9 or 10am.

its a generally uncomfortable subject for me. i've lost family to alcoholism and a friend to binge drinking, which was honestly worse since the heart failure hit him when he was in his 20s. so when i see someone talking about being buzzed all day, a situation i have a lot of memories of, i feel the need to comment.

drinking in moderation is fine. i drink a small amount of wine with dinner sometimes and hell i even make my own alcohol for fun. just keep in mind it is addictive.

Day drinking is the best drinking. I think 5 or 6 am is probably the earliest Ive ever started, but its not common for me to start that early.

Has no one ITT heard of brunch before?? It's pretty common for folks to have a mimosa or a bloody mary with their meal. I certainly have. And I don't really classify that as "day-drinking" in the traditional sense.
