Definitely, but not at release. Switch is my platform of choice, and it'll probably need a few patches to be playable; the original had a nasty framerate drop that pretty much made the Broken Vessel fight unwinnable until it got patched.

Probably not immediately, but eventually yes. I bounced off the original pretty early even though I'm usually a fan of the genre, but recently gave it another shot and am pretty close to the end, and can't see myself immediately jumping into a sequel.

No interest in Hollow Night. As you mentioned though Im a HUGE golf fan that loved the series from game 1 for over 20 years. Played Out of Bounds weekly with a friend on ps3 over 5,000 hours and for 5 straight years until they shut the servers down.

That ps4 game though was a fucking insult to the series and a slap in the face. Thankfully it looks like they are trying to rectify some of the shit choices they made on that title with this one and bringing back set characters and advanced shots. Looks like a fair amount of recycled courses but Im ok with that.

Waiting for it to unlock tomorrow night when I get home from work. Huge fan and hopefully this new developer can mimic what Clap Hanz used to do so well.

Eventually. I'm always behind on new game releases and it's rare for one to jump the line. I enjoyed the first game but it isn't near an all-time favorite, but maybe my expectations were too high after listening to years of hype. Also planning on diving into the Remedy (Alan Wake/Control) universe next month, so between that and what I'm currently playing, there's no time.

nahh. I'm not a fan of 2d side scrollers of any genre. tried hollow knight on switch and couldn't get into it.

the only two side scrollers I ever got into are terraria and lone survivor.

Nah, Hollow Knight was a bit too frustrating for me. I struggled to the default ending and eventually gave up on the other stuff after that. I expect Silksong will also have will be just as charming as the first one, but also make me saltier than I'd like.

Even so, it's gotta be one of the feel-good gaming stories of the year. It finally gets a much anticipated release date and people are still hyped for it. It comes out that it wasn't stuck in development hell, but instead the team just kept adding shit to it because they were having fun. They could charge tons more for it, but chose not to. Even though I don't plan to play it myself, I hope it does well.

Maybe, maybe not. It'll depend on how good it is. Also, I'm with you on the Everybody's Golf, TC. Love that series.

I have to pass because I'm not into the series. But I hope that everyone who will play it will have a great time. The wait has been too long.

Definitely, but whenever I pick it up, no idea when Ill play it. I need to play Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter to finally start the Trails series, and I never did a speedrun or Steel Soul run in Hollow Knight, nor did I finish the 5th pantheon.

I really want to like it but I dont care for the cartoony art style and bug aesthetic. All the enemies look the same

I didnt care for the bug aesthetic either, but if you get into the game its just incredible as a Metroidvania.

One of the best sidescrolling metroidvania. Pretty much nails everything, atmosphere, story, action, gameplay, exploration. I've seen some people say it's a souls like due to it's difficulty, which can be quite high. But it's a very rewarding game to play imo.

Its called a soulslike because you lose your souls (or whatever they call it in this game) when you die and have to go back and retrieve them. If you die again before then, theyre gone.

Watched the trailers for both games. Not my type of game. Looks pretty generic to me.

Not really sure why people are creaming their pants over it either.

No, I tried the first game for like 4 hours and didn't like it. I'm pretty sure the game (and the Metroidvania genre in general) simply isn't for me.

Runs fantastic on the Switch 1 in case people were worried.

Ah, gotcha. I haven't played many souls games and that didn't click in my mind as something specific to them. But it's obvious now.

Yeah if it's this good on 1 no way it's bad on 2. Runs with zero hitch at all, unlike ninja gaiden and the glitchy mess of Shinobi (which runs badly)

I liked the first one, but it was way too long. Ill be sure to give Silksong a try via Gamepass though.
