I mean, it can be how you phrase things. I could certainly see how a moderation could happen depending on circumstances. But Michalecole's post was just a straight fact. Again, maybe I missed a follow-up where he said something off color but from what I saw I don't understand why he got banned

mike made one post after that topic for sure though, which was just a link to a song in that favorite song topic

It's also highly personalized. I have a moderation note on a suspension about a year ago that basically says that while a particular topic is allowed on the board, I should not participate in such topics.

That is not "being indifferent" it's being mockingly dismissive. And it's political on this site because you can only use that in one direction; using that as a response to a person of the opposite political persuasion being shot would get you banned almost as fast as MICHALECOLE.

Do you think that GameFAQs was going to be the only place where people heard about a guy who is all over the news today, and had a moderator not stepped in, finding out that he died was going to somehow make them interested in his views?

Or, the more likely explanation is they decided to shut down discussion that was going to involve a lot of celebrating his death

meanwhile, after the fact, another person made the exact same topic, and while their topic did also get deleted, they never received a status changing moderation. no warn, no suspension, no purgatory, no ban.
