I'm currently GMing a high level Pathfinder 2e game. Players just finished up a three-day peace summit between nations which was then interrupted by some assassins. Now they're on a investigation hunt to find the culprits, is someone trying to frame someone else or is something more sinister happening?

We just abandoned Pathfinder Kingmaker after about 2 years, I got super bored of it and the players were losing investment in the Kingdom.

My coworker wanted me to join her group, and I agreed. We've only had 3 sessions so far, and it turns out that it's not d&d exactly but a custom game by her brother. Still very similar rules and such, but other ones in place as well.

I guess we're starting over though. He kinda set us up to fail, and made his sister upset. So asked to restart the entire campaign. He offered to give us bonus money if I agreed too. So, I did. And we fell into a time warp to go back.

I'm enjoying it, but I do feel that my shyness and anxiety hold me back a bit much. I'm trying to get over it, but the thought that the entire campaign so far was a waste feels bad.

We got an orc champion, elf rogue, elf magus and gnome sorcerer! All level 12 currently and close to 13.

I'm not running a game right now (and it's almost always me running, I'm a Forever GM going on 40 years now). But I might get pressured into running one soon.

Though I'll throw out an idea I've had for years and have never done anything with - Mirror Universe Disney World.

Basically, it's a world where all of the various nations/domains/regions are each based on a separate Disney film (like a twee Ravenloft, or like if Kingdom Hearts all just took place on one world), except the twist is that in every realm the protagonists of the original story were actually evil, and the villains were really the good guys.

So in Cinderella land you'd have a Archfey Warlock (fairy godmother!) use her magic to ensorcell the prince and marry her way into the royal family, and now she's an evil queen with her puppet king - and the only resistance to her rule is led by her stepsisters. Snow White is the story of an outcast princess who leads an army of dwarves to conquer her kingdom. Gaston is a brave and noble Ranger while the Beast is just a straight-up monster who has kidnapped and brainwashed Belle. Robin Hood? A heartless highwayman and bandit leader who steals from everyone to give to himself - and the Sheriff is a good man determined to bring him to justice (with bonus points if the Sheriff is a werewolf, the Prince is a Leonin or Tabaxi, and Robin is a Kitsune, fox Hengeyokai, or fox Shifter).

There is also a part of me that just wants to watch the world burn, which pipes up every time I think about this idea suggesting there needs to be a "Song of the South" region (Dirge of the North?). With all of the unfortunate implications that entails. But I'd have to be really careful of what sort of group I was running the game for if I went that route.

That was always Nudo's obsession/fetish. He was all about the gnomes.

Which was part of why we brainstormed up a character pairing of a feral Barbarian Gnome that would ride around in a harness on the back of this super-erudite Minotaur Wizard (with glasses, naturally), as a sort of reverse Master Blaster.

And if I'm going to be honest, "erudite Minotaur Wizard with glasses" is pretty much a self-insert character for me.

Though I do actually have it on DVD. It was in my mother's collection, so I inherited it when she died. Maybe I'll watch it at some point.

...yeah, I'm not really seeing it. 10th Kingdom seems like pretty standard fairy tale fare. Apart from maybe the concept of multiple fairy tales being interconnected, but that's an extremely common trope in and of itself.

If anything, 10th Kingdom feels like it fits more into a different trope - what happens after "Happily Ever After". Which is also a pretty common trope, but definitely not the one I'm leaning into.

I'm going more with the "What if Sauron/Saurman was actually the good guy?" or "What if the Empire was the good guys and the Rebels are terrorists?" sort of reinterpretation.

Only played once, and it wasn't D&D

Schmen ran a monster of the week campaign where I played with his brother, his brother's wife, and a friend of ours from Highschool.

It was all SCP themed, we played as members of the foundation, capturing or neutralizing anomalies across the US.

I'm about to run Delta Green: Impossible Landscapes for some people in person, so I've got a bucket of handouts ready to print out, and they've already done a session zero. It should be good.

I'm also running through Eclipse Phase 2e online. They fixed a lot my mechanical problems with the system, so I'm happy to show more people the setting.

I'm playing a Dragonborn fighter, my group is tracking some assassins who are trying to murder the head of the Empire in our world. So far, we have tracked them to a desert city and pretty much get attacked daily by them while trying to track down their leader. So far, all we know about her is that she goes by "K". In fact, we just learned last session that they were a "she". We are currently level 6 in this campaign, but no idea if this will be a max level one or not.

This is my 4th campaign with this group, although we only had one where we got our characters up to max level. It is basically an old work group that we started playing during lunch, then eventually together after our office closed, and now we play online. I think we will have been playing together pretty regularly for the last 10 years now.

I only ever tried playing on here. Think it lasted literally like a day.

I'm in 3 different campaigns at the moment - technically.

One of them has been on hiatus for about 2 years, and the DM has been trying to get it going again. It's a premade campaign for 5e - Storm King's Thunder. Basically the king of the giants has disappeared, and it's causing chaos amongst the giants. The different giant factions are now trying to do their own thing and it's chaos, and we're trying to figure out what happened to the king and try and restore order. We went on hiatus near the end of the campaign. What sucks is that everyone keeps saying they want to continue on, but for the last 3 or so months, every time we try to confirm a date to play, some last minute stuff goes on leaving us short.

The second is basically a monster of the week campaign. No real story. A bunch of one shots held together by us playing the same characters.

The third is a horror campaign. We are basically hopping around the Domains of Dread following this prophecy about the world ending. We're in the end stages of that too. The DM for this campaign wants to start a Dark Sun campaign after this one is done.
