It's just a really fun game.

I have consistently played Overwatch since it released in 2016. It is a great game. I also enjoy playing Marvel Rivals currently. I also used to play other hero shooters like Paladins, TF2, etc but don't really play those anymore.

The role team based shooters has been a thing I have loved for a really long time with some of my favorite games like CoD3's multiplayer and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

I'm curious what percentage of the people currently playing it are people who played from OW1. Literally everyone I know who played OW1 dropped it when it turned into (or before) OW2 and none have any interest in even giving OW2 a try. I've heard it's gotten better, but then I see stuff like this Persona 5 crossover bullshit and think, yea, no, I'm good.

A lot of people like to shit on OW2 (me included), but the fact it was able to keep such a large playerbase means the game is still doing really well...and we're only seeing the numbers on steam (which I think is going to be higher than battlenet, but still).

They are fun but honestly they feel the design is worse.

I think they are a case of powercreep. Their kit seems to do a lot at the same time. Kiriko damage shouldn't be underestimated, while she also has an escape and a very powerful ult.

And visually, they are worse. Some are really cool (Illari and Rammatra, especially Rammatra) and some are just bland.

Hazard is just ugly. And not even the "purposefully ugly" like some designs. Just really badly done.

I think so. Junkerqueen is my favorite tank. The new support has a really fun controlled projectile ability.

I've been playing Overwatch classic for this anniversary. While there is stuff I missed like playing Zarya as an offtank, overall, Overwatch 2 is way smoother.

I agree with the other poster that there is power creep, but it just makes the characters feel better to play. Letting Rein stop his charge and giving him a second fire strike for example just gives him more to do.

Stadium mode is really fun.

Its finally in a really good place now, what with them adding new stuff like Stadium and perks and the new heroes are pretty fun too. I like to go back and forth between OW2 and Marvel Rivals, if I get tired of one I go play the other.

I remember alternating between OW and Paladins back in the day, its a real shame what happened with Paladins.
