Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has died after being attacked in jail, prison sources have confirmed.

The disgraced rock star from Pontypridd was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield for child sex offences.

West Yorkshire Police said they were called to the prison on Saturday morning to an assault on a prisoner, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Watkins was jailed in December 2013 for a string of child sex offences, including the attempted rape of a baby.

Police said detectives were investigating and enquiries ongoing at the scene.

He was attacked in prison in August 2023, but his injuries were not thought life threatening.

Now, normally I would not celebrate any form of extra judical (spelling?) punishment... but I will make an exception for this fuck stick.

I used to be a fan of Lost Prophets, mostly cause of the fact me and a friend bonded over their music after we had kinda lost track of each other.

Needless to say, neither of us have wanted much to do with the band after the truth came out.

He spent a lot of money buying protection in prison.

Don't mistake these inmates for moral agents of justice. They kill because they are violent murderers in search of clout and status. The previous attempt on his life wasn't righteous vengeance for his crimes, but because he owed a drug debt.

Watkins isn't worth the mourning, but prison violence needs to be addressed.

What was even more sickening is that he and his acts were reported multiple times to his local authorities, but they repeatedly refused to take any action on it. It was only after he was arrested for drugs that they found his CP stash.
