New 2DS XL has the best design and feel of the ones I've owned (aqua blue 3ds, albw xl, blue/black n2dsxl).

New 3DS (non XL) might be best due to stable 3D and having a smaller screen with marginally better PPI but I've never owned one of those.

N3DS XL > N3DS > N2DS XL > 2DS > OG but in terms of ergonomics the 2DS models steamroll all the others.

It's a shame they weren't released in America. I imported one (and some faceplates) from Japan and it had such a premium feel to it. I deeply regret selling it.

The original 3DS has a special place in my heart cuz it was one of the first things I bought working my first job. It felt so premium and fancy compared to the OG DS, but also seemed kinda fragile. It is so small but I loved how shiny it was. Playing Street Fighter 4 on a handheld blew my fucking mind.

The cheese wedge 2DS is so strange but I like it. Feels pretty good in the hands.

New 3DS Xl wins just for having a mix of all the best parts of the other iterations.

I own the Ocarina of Time 3DS, A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL and the Majora's Mask New 3DS XL. I've used the second one the most and is my favorite. The bigger screens made the difference.

Honestly, I love the basic 2DS. It was really inexpensive to buy, it feels great to play, and after losing like 4-5 DS/3DS systems to busted hinges it's nice to not have to worry about that problem anymore. I've had the same 2DS system since 2014 and it still works like a charm.

This. I managed the snag my preferred black one, which was only available in the U.S. on Black Friday one year.

I hate how NoA released that one in such a limited quantity.

The one I got was the White one, which came bundled with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (which I enjoyed for what it was).
