Yeah Lucky Number Slevin is one of those slick mid-2000s thrillers that doesnt get enough credit. Its got that cool without trying too hard energy: sharp dialogue, layered misdirection, and a cast thats way too good for how little people talk about it (Josh Hartnett, Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley, Bruce Willis stacked).
The Kansas City Shuffle twist is classic a bit over-the-top, but thats part of its charm. Its like The Usual Suspects meets Snatch with a smoother American polish.

I like it. Lucy Liu as a manic pixie dream girl was odd though.

It does grind to a complete halt when that guy explains everything over the phone

Yeah, its not particularly great but its still fun to watch.

Saw it in theaters, I'm pretty sure it was my first exposure to the Kansas City Shuffle.
