Not only they are using AI slop, the shit they put in there doesn't even fit the game's genre

Feels like the dev team(s) were seeing how much they could get away when making this game (in terms of getting the greenlight to publish), and the answered turned out to be everything

They took that Ghibli AI filter that everyone was talking about earlier in the year and just slapped it on everything.

They could at least make the prompt looks scifi or military themed. It's just so lazy even by cod standards lmao

They've had some cartoony Calling Cards before, but that's just bad anime.

i applaud them for it.

to feed their target demographic no-effort AI ghibli slop and still be truly convinced they'll freely hand over their cash is definitely something to be commended.

That one COULD work if they merely named some sort of incendiary drone after a dragon or wyvern. It's generic enough that it'd actually fit the lighter hearted goofy stuff they were already doing years ago. The rest just makes it obvious as though they just generated stuff with the same training data/prompt and merely changed the action.

It actually would be really funny if there had been one obviously AI calling card that was intended to rage bait other players because it looked bad, but this is just supreme laziness unfortunately

Yet another reason why I'm not buying BO7. That's just next level laziness.

Last year, BO6 launched with over 300,000 peak players on Steam. This year, BO7's launch still hasn't even hit 100,000 peak players on Steam. Keep in mind that those numbers are for the whole CoD HQ, so that 90-something thousand still includes Warzone players and stragglers still playing BO6. More and more of the players are smartening up and not taking the bait this year, and it shows in the player numbers. And that's not even getting into the much bigger player numbers that Battlefield 6 and Arc Raiders have been putting up. BO7 is getting destroyed this year.

Glad to see some people have learned to move on. Maybe we'll finally get some more innovation in the industry.
