As humorous as this is, it's quite saddening to know that some people are so politicised that they'd yell things they wouldn't even repeat to you after realising you
potentially didn't support a certain political party.
This isn't to say anything about Trump or his policies (or those of opposition parties!), just that people are so political in America >->
Like, what would it even have accomplish by yelling disparaging comments at someone wearing a red hat that
might have been a MAGA hat? If anything, yelling insults at someone because of their political views would make them LESS likely to suddenly adopt the views of the 'verbal abuser' (ignoring the obvious fact that said person doesn't necessarily reflect the policies of the party they support).
I can only imagine how different this topic would have been if the person who yelled insults was instead the type to actually attack people. Would they have realised before or after their fit of rage that your hat said Switch and not MAGA? ;.;
