No matter what I say my words get twisted around its annoying I feel like people don't even try to understand me this game. It's pointless to even keep trying so this will be my last post for atleast a while if not the rest of the game.

Of the unmatched people i think I'd really only be interested in pairing up with death or jc. Even though I'm a bit suspicious of death, I think I am pretty good at reading him (absent him being an indie... which we know isn't possible this game!) and extra 1:1 time with him would really help me narrow him down.
Jc seems like a pleasant guy to spend some alone time with. I don't have any kind of read on him at all.

Kirby or lea dying is my preference at this time. Lopen, even ignoring yesterday, just wouldn't be fun to talk to or butt heads against. But I'm not confident in any "read" I think I have on him.

Everyone else I'm kinda eh about. With isquen i don't think I'll come into d2 with much new learning or understanding with him as my partner. Chris and corrik would be "fine" but certainly not a strong preference.

Idk I dont like how peaf keeps mentioning isquen in nothing ways. Feels like he is on his mind too much for a random townie

Also kirby is probably not scum

Jc mention here is lightly in their favor as well

Lopen categorizing isquen, Death, and corrik together is pretty silly because the causes of them being unpaired until last night were all wildly different.
For the record, Isquen, if you happen to unpair later I'm interested in some alone time. I see you as a calm and pleasant cuddle bug. I need that in my life.

It's less from anything peaf said and more from something I did just before that votal update you copied.

The unpaired were: Kirby, JC, Peaf, Dumey, Lea

Peaf, at that point was only trying to date Kirby. JC and Lea also had date requests for Kirby. I freely admit that i only did it because it seemed like it would cause more EoD chaos and generate extra day 1 data points and not because it was some master stroke that I knew would kill scum. But my action to confirm breakup with Lopen (and tag Lopen so he knew) and steal the date with Kirby is was directly led to the final 5 you posted, which led to dead Peaf.

I was glad to be proven wrong, but in the moment I assumed that all scum were hiding in pairs that formed earlier in the day and that a scum death simply wasn't going to be possible. But I think it's fair to say my actions played a role in things turning out the way they did.

I've said multiple times today that I'd prefer to lynch one of Ulti or MZero. They are currently dating each other though so barring either of them as an option I'd go down my list to either Sultan or Isquen.

He is not scum. Peaf is mentioning him repeatedly because Isquen is always an easy mislynch and he is building towards that

I don't think I've ever seen Sultan play like this before, town or scum.

A lot of his annoyance is at perception that people are saying he sucks, but I don't even think most of us were attacking his level of play throughout the game. Just saying we thought his motivations were possibly scummy, or inconsistent for town. I can understand him saying he feels like he's being "nitpicked" but doesn't that happen every mafia game?

Sultan, outside of this individual game, if you thought any of my posts were calling you dumb or bad at the game or something, that wasn't my intent. I apologize for that.

Anger was my Sultan scumtell once upon a time.

I did catch him with it once but then on a second game where he was angry he was town so I'm not sure. Never seen him quite this angry before so hard to say.

I will say, the first thing FD said to me in our N1 chat was (effectively), "I'm not sure I can trust you. Peaf flipping scum doesn't make sense unless you're scum and he tried to save you."

Apparently, it's been a very long time since FD's last scum game, but I felt that, for anybody in general, opening up the conversation with distrust would be a very bold play for scum, especially in a game like this one where you really want people to like you. So I think that's something in his favor.

He said the same thing to me. Well, not the second part, but that he didn't trust me

Gonna be honest, I kinda checked out last night to focus on FF7 and let you all try to progress a little without me muddying things up with my tunneling.

I was a little annoyed at Kirby's perspective of me apparently not being active enough D2 when I felt like I was constantly inserting myself trying to move things forward and get people to engage, including urging Kirby to not leave the game right at the 1PM mark and give reads of the current game state. I guess we all kind of struggle with perceptions of how we're playing the game versus how other people read us. :)

My preference for lynches is kind of sloppy right now. I said I thought Isquen was looking somewhat townie before because of his pickiness for a date partner at the end of D2. But someone responded to me about that (FD?) that scum probably has just as much motivation to be picky about date partners. Especially if roles actions are influenced on who you partner with. Isquen's two dates were Corrik and Lopen. Two pretty high profile players. Both unclaimed at time of date. Meh, this is probably a worthless angle to pursue without any evidence of what scum roles are, like a roleblock or something.

My preference is still Sultan, but past that I'm just kind of following town lead. Kind of feel like the safest bet is a lynch in the Lopen/Ulti/Kirby group, but I'd probably choose Ulti first out of those three. I still think Kirby being scum is POSSIBLE but very low likelihood. Lopen could very well be scum, but I'd just be trusting other player's player reads on that. Players like FD/MZero/Isquen I don't have a strong preference on, but pretty much wouldn't get in the way of town if we thought that was the direction to go. I'd probably actively stand in the way of JC/Corrik/Chris at this point.

As someone who's played Neighbor multiple time before, I always thought it was pretty obvious that neighbor wouldn't get access to scans or anything in the case of a death. But maybe that's just me!

Isn't it weird Kirby didn't ask if his response is "but he didn't say if he got a scan or not" and not "I'd assume he didn't get one" or "I asked and he'd get it after chat closed"

Even if Kirby's responses were strange it was Ulti who was pressing Kirby for details on red's scan numerous times. And maybe just because it felt like the logical assumption was that of course Kirby wouldn't get access to red's scan, but I thought it was odd for Ulti to be asking. At most red might have told kirby WHO was being targeted for the scan, but presumably he would have only done that during the 2 hour window between night action cutoff and the new day starting.

I don't see it, sorry. Haha. If Red got the scan before the chat closed, I would just assume he would share the info, unless he was just unfortunately not available. Which is exactly why there is no chance the timing would work this way (which was later confirmed by Chang when the discussion about the scan persisted). I view this as Ulti digging in a wrong direction to waste town's time on something irrelevant.

Man it's actually so hard for me to see Ulti as scum sometimes. I think it's part of his apparently now-patented FOURTH ALIGNMENT that's getting to me. I can't fault others for thinking he's scum. But I KNOW I'm town, I KNOW Ulti gave me his life at the end of D2, I KNOW Ulti posted pressure for me to dump him for Red at the end of D2, that I didn't get to do because I was preoccupied and Kirby did the move before I could check back in.

Maybe Ulti was just hard gambling on my cautiousness, but man is it a hard pill to swallow that he was bluffing there. He's probably just town and stubborn about how he's playing the date mechanic. It is so like Ulti to "soul read" a player one way or the other, and actually have the ability to effectively veto a lynch in this format is just something I can see Ulti do. That's just fun.
