Oh no, I was secretly sympathetic for this guy cause, heck, even if hes a CEO I dont know him and he had a family, but this might have convinced me. This really is our culture now isnt it. Either pass gun reform, or deal with this.
You can still be sympathetic. I hate that the guy got gunned down just because of his job. He was a father and had a family, and they're suffering. That shouldn't be ignored or downplayed at all.
The thing is, the world we live in has been crafted for this. Literal children have to prepare for the possibility of being murdered in school. Minorities can't trust the police to not gun them down for being a different color. Cops are out here, having been trained to deal with situations, shooting people out of fear while the untrained people are expected to not react to danger(or else the cop will get spooked and shoot).
It's just a fact, the world we live in is dangerous. And if the people in power won't do anything to help, they have to face that danger too. I don't support murder, I think it was wrong to gun the CEO down, but as far as our every day lives go, it's just another pointless death. One we've been told to accept. So, I don't really feel all that bad about it. Even better if it wakes up those in power and makes them realize the truth. But I don't have high hopes for that.
