Definitely, usually tied to history classes.

In my freshman year, we went to a bowling alley and Mount St. Helens
Sophomore year, we went to the Museum of Flight
Junior year, we went to a giant conference to listen to the 14th Dalai Lama

I generally do because at a minimum they frequently come with perks.

Never in Three Houses though. Nobody deserves to be married to Byleth. Except maybe Caspar. But I kill Caspar every playthrough.
Not even Rhea? lol

But yeah, I find myself engaging less and less with the mechanic over time but kind of force myself to because of trophies/achievements and other little bonuses. Three Houses is a good example because, to me, Byleth was a teacher for the majority of the cast so it felt kind of odd and a little groom-y to romance any of the student characters.

In so many games, it also doesn't help that the romance is more of a "reward" than natural growth. You'll go through a character's storyline and then be given a single option to date them at the end, and then you'll get like one scene before it's business as usual.

Clair Obscur is the most recent game with romance I played and I didn't end up going with anyone because it didn't feel natural.

One romance in games I like is with Liara from the Mass Effect series because it does feel more natural and personal for the characters. You can romance her in the first game and carry that all the way to the end of the third.

Oh God, it's spreading.
But for real, can someone explain what the fascination is with these two characters in particular and why people get so up in arms about any discussion regarding them? As a kid, all I remember is Krillin was always a side character from Ball on, and Tien was an arc villain before getting sidelined from that point on.

I'm cleaning out my desk at home and finding I've accumulated a ton of stickers over the years that I've kind of just thrown together. Some are pretty cool so I don't want to toss them but I'm at a bit of a loss of what else to do with them all.

I don't really like to stick things on my devices or things (i.e. water bottle), at least not in ways I can think of. One idea I was reading about was creating a sort of scrapbook with reusable sticker paper. As a kid, I used to create "scenes" with stickers on regular paper (like Pokemon battling each other), so that's an idea too.

Does CE do anything interesting or fun with stickers? Feel free to share any pictures, I'm curious to see.

It really help boost my self-esteem, while at the same time, kinda left me a bit depressed.

This got leaked around a year back when a couple digital storefronts accidentally put it up for order. From what I remember, it was JUST Xillia 1 unfortunately.

A handful of Tales games were pulled from around the same time, Xillia 2, Symphonia Chronicles, and Hearts R, so if any more were to be remastered, it would likely be one of those (Symphonia 2 in the case of Chronicles), though Bamco did acknowledge that they'd like to remaster Abyss eventually.

Anyway, Xillia had some really cool ideas on paper that clearly didn't make it to the game proper, so I'm in the camp that considers it one of the weaker ones.

I wouldn't say "terrified", but I generally was uneasy playing Ocarina of Time as a kid. The Deku Tree had this eerie vibe and music, you'd get chased by skeletons if you stayed out too late in Hyrule Field, the Redeads in Castle Town and below the grave, ALL of the Shadow Temple, etc.

Some recent examples though: getting chased by Mr. X in REmake2 (especially the part where he bursts from the shower room) was pretty friggin' heart pounding, and the prison area in SH2 was maybe the scariest area I've played through in a game.

Plot and gameplay spoiler: The game loops after a certain point and essentially forces a mini playthrough. It then does this three(?) more times before letting you progress to end.

Don't click that if you still intend to play the game since it's a pretty big surprise either way.

The Forsaken Fortress stealth mission at the beginning of Wind Waker. It's what stops me from replays since it's right there at the beginning. The Triforce Hunt is pretty bad too but not as bad as I thought it would be when I last replayed the game.

Bravely Default: You know why.

Some of the underground areas in Pikmin 2 are obnoxious, especially the ones found in the final area. Oh, and of course, Submerged Castle.

Any swamp area in the Souls games, but they're kind of iconic at this point.

PSO is a gap in my gaming background I really regret. It was pretty popular in my online circles when it came out, and I almost bought it when I saw it on store shelves, but my family was still running on dial-up then. I got the Xbox version as a Christmas present the year that came out, but I guess I didn't do my homework and didn't know there was a subscription fee to play online (on top of the Xbox Live subscription fee) so I ended up returning it.

I did play Phantasy Star Zero on the DS when that came out in 2009, but that was even more niche with an even smaller playerbase that didn't stick around so I only really beat the main story before shelving it.

Bullshit feels like the framework for Mario Kart at this point. World made it especially egregious in that races almost feel luck-based now. You can hit every jump or drift, take every short cut, and play perfect, but all it takes is one or two items and you've lost. Doesn't even matter if it's single player or multiplayer, the rubber band always wins.

This, I disagree with though. I think the average dub quality has absolutely skyrocketed compared to the 90's and early 00's. Sure, we don't get as many absolute bangers as back then (we still get some though, like the Kaguya-sama dub) but there are also barely any bad dubs compared to back then. Most dubs these days are at least "pretty good", even if they are still weaker than the Japanese versions. I find myself watching 1/3 to 1/2 of my seasonal anime dubbed, and I also sometimes do dubbed re-watches of shows I watched subbed the first time around.
Ah, sorry, you basically said what I actually meant. And I agree - Like, I loathe shounen, but those shows have some REALLY strong dubs, and usually the more high profile something is in Japan, you can bet on the dub being great too.

Not really. I'll make an exception for dubs that are legendary and basically the creator-approved way to watch the show, like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, El Hazard, etc., and generally speaking, dubs from the 90s tended to be either horrendous or godly anyway, so I'm much more likely to give those dubs the time of day. Nowadays though? No. I just feel like Japan has mastered the craft so you don't get anywhere near the same level of quality overseas, even if dubbing has improved overall.

With games though, unless it's a VN and/or not totally set in Japan (like the Yakuza series), I'll usually played dubbed.

Zero Time Dilemma.

It wasn't *terrible* on its own, certainly not a great or satisfying experience but not the worst way I've used my time. But it was not the decisive conclusion to the Zero Escape series that we were promised. I read once that Uchikoshi wanted players to be able to start with any one of the three, and that's a noble idea, but, 1) VLR was already not fit as a starting point and 2) the overarching story of the series suffered for it.
Lol, I still get a little hot under the collar whenever ZTD comes up. 999 was great, VLR is one of my favorite VNs/adventure games, and ZTD is... a mess. I get WHY, since the game was barely even made at all, but it doesn't explain all the plot contrivances and outright bad writing throughout the whole thing. And yeah, like another user said, Uchikoshi was promising this game would put every mystery to rest and it didn't. At all. It doesn't even feel like a proper ending to the series either.

Anyway, I still get super annoyed with Gamestop's gutted games. Not quite ten years ago but close enough, I was trying to hunt down a copy of Odin Sphere new and Gamestop was the only place that still sold it. To make a long story short, I ended up going through three or four copies of the game, none of which were new, before Gamestop eventually threw their arms up and let me have the game free. And before you call me nitpicky, each copy I got was worse than the last, with mangled boxes, dog bite marks, photocopied box art, and scratched discs. All opened, obviously. The final "variant" I got I had to buy a whole separate PS4 box for and throw the original one away.

It was basically the nail in the coffin for me with Gamestop and I still haven't bought a game from them since.

I dunno what it is about homosexuality and media literacy but I sorta felt like that with Bayonetta 3 and people losing their minds about Bayo and Jean and the "erasure". Like your fan ship wasn't canon.
The additional funny thing about that is Bayo 3 is a MULTIVERSE game with other Bayonettas, including the same Bayo from 1 and 2. There's nothing saying that while the Bayo in 3 ends up with Luka, the others can't still pair off with Jean or whoever else people have head-canons about.

Anyway, on topic, I've been meaning to replay Persona 4 for years now (only played vanilla, not Golden), but it does feel the hardest to go back to after the remakes. I don't really look forward to the random dungeons again and having to try to balance the social stats properly by constantly resetting.

I'm finally watching the whole series myself (just finished Prometheus) and yeah, 3 was bad. The whole time I kept asking myself what the point of any of it was. Didn't help that they killed the only semi-interesting character super early on. Just a mess of a movie with a really bad setting and characters.

I liked Resurrection a lot more but even that was pretty bad too. At least the cast was fun.

Also, why is that anytime there is more than just the one alien, the aliens are super weak and can be killed by everything?

Alien > Prometheus > Aliens > Alien Resurrection > Alien 3 (so far)
