What's the deal with not releasing the CK immediately? I didn't even finish my first playthrough of the game and I've just been waiting for the CK before I give it another go. Why does it have beta access? Did they not use the damn thing to create the game?

There was a user here once named Gilberto. He admitted to doing....things....to his dog. I'm sure that's where these confessions originate from.

OAN, a conservative news network, issued a retraction and apology to former attorney Michael Cohen after falsely reporting he had a six-month affair with adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

In a statement on Monday, OAN made it clear that no one should rely on the outlet's reporting about Cohen's alleged affair. The outlet said it had used a source supposedly in contact with disgraced attorney Michael Avenatti, who subsequently denied that he ever made such claims.

"The so-called whistleblower, Mr. Avenatti, has denied making the allegations. OAN apologizes to Mr. Cohen for any harm the publication may have caused him," the statement said.

"The article, quoting a source, falsely claimed that Mr. Cohen and Ms. Daniels 'were having an affair since 2006' and that, according to a source, 'the whole hush money scheme was cooked up by [Mr. Cohen] to extort the Trump Organization before the 2016 election,'" the statement continued. "These statements were false. OAN regrets their publication."

OAN with another retraction. So far they've:
* Settled with Smartmatic
* Settled with Dominion
* Settled with Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss
* Retracted a story they put out about Michael Cohen

And they're still facing further possible legal issues because their executives may have violated state and federal data privacy laws after sharing Smartmatic employee passwords with Sidney Powell.

I think you do need to "tear down" to "rebuild" -- I don't think Fandom will destroy GameFaqs. I think they are going to update it, modernize it, and begin appealing a new, younger, more mainstream audience. Pretty much what this site use to be around 2010-2013.

Privating the board, then systematically banning everyone notable for things that wouldnt have even previously been considered offenses, but also not telling us what specific rule theyre breaking, feels like someone is just enjoying exercising their power nicer a community thats been built over the course of 20+ years

You're increasing barriers to entry

keep in mind, being a cop here now means being under the microscope. A lot of cities are having a problem with filling open positions.

So you can either

1) have inadequate officers
2) have no officers if you increase barriers to entry

While there's a sizable "defund the police" movement, I personally am a fan of having police. A semblance of law and order is better in my opinion than anarchy.

I spoke a bit more with DToast and he told me none of the information is private, so I'll explain what the experiments are about now.

Just a warning, I did try to manage expectations in the previous topic but I'll say it again here - this is not a bombshell revelation, it's some minor things Fandom are trying to increase cross-site traffic.

They're run 3 iterations of cross-linking GameFAQs guides on relevant wikis (approximately 500) for users (desktop and logged out only). It has received a mixed reaction depending on the guide and relevancy. I recommended doing the same thing with board links as this would potentially increase traffic to those GameFAQs boards as well as going some way to reassuring long time users like myself that the boards aren't on the chopping block. DToast said they were considering doing it with boards at one point, but "for obvious reasons, decided against it for now". The next thing they're going to try is cross-linking GameFAQs player/game stats on relevant wikis.

So, make of that what you will.

Yeah, a really bad act that gives a really bad picture tbh. You can't say you support two states and then be the only nation to refuse recognizing one of them.
