From: 14_and_counting | #062 No, I'm asking who do we think ends the night? I realize Edge was announced first, but will his music be how the ceremony closes.
Will we actually watch at WM as the Four Horsemen come out to no theme, and Edge comes out to Metalingus (Like HBK last year)
I think the Horsemen theme will play, but Edge will be the one front and center with pyro coming out last.
Like it or not, more people are coming to the HoF to see Edge than the Horsemen, in 2012.

I mean, you can say the Horsemen are co-headliners, I guess, but from now until the ceremony itself, when they run down the list, Edge will always be the front guy.

I know we've played this game before, but who will the headliners be the next 5 years?
2013: The Rock 2014: The Undertaker 2015: Triple H
...kinda stumped beyond that.
If Vince steps down by 2016 that could be his year, but he might stay on until death. <_<
If Savage didn't headline THIS year, then I'm pretty sure he's not getting in until at least after Vince is dead. <_<
They COULD keep Foley on the backburner for a year with an otherwise weak class, but it's too perfect to just induct him next year with Rock and have them induct each other.

Has any console ever been supported as a company's lead console for that long ever? I know it didn't happen from Generation Three onwards, but not sure about Second Gen stuff.

From: ZFS | #043 Makes sense! Outside of Portal 2, there weren't any big name sellers in the first half of the year. Gotta stop packing every single game in the same two months

From: Rad Link 5 | #047 What I would like to know is if Big Show could pin him in any ring, or if he'd have to pin him in the ring in the city they were at when the match started.
If it's not falls-count-anywhere, then it has to be in the original ring.
Even in the WarGames double-ring setup, you're not allowed to go wrestle in the other ring instead of the ring to which you were assigned without risking a countout.
EDIT: Although being WCW, I'm sure there's some example out there where it actually happened. >_>

Even in such matches, the GM still has the power to call the match off for a crazy circumstance like a natural disaster or something. I imagine that would happen there.
Although then next week the match would totally be in a steel cage.

On a side note, I still don't think HBK's solo elimination of Vader and Yokozuna at the same time in that Rumble has ever been topped as far as kayfabe impressive Rumble moments go.

Only two people have wrestled earlier on the Rumble PPV and then won the Rumble match itself:
Bret Hart in 1994 (lost Tag Title match to Quebecers, got leg kicked out from under his leg) Brock Lesnar in 2003 (defeated Big Show in the opening match to gain entry into the Rumble)

From: Wanglicious | #034 i'm not even sure we'd call it a 'surprise' anymore really. with the way things have gone a guy coming back for the rumble is too common to be surprising. what you don't see however, are champions. winners of their matches are very rare too - i think maybe 1 has done it. jakyl knows i'm sure.
The last time a World Champion entered the Royal Rumble was Hogan in 1990, although ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero did enter the 2008 Rumble even though his title was established as something the Rumble winner could choose to fight for.

From: MartinFF7 | #038 Aren't there a ton of refs at ringside? How did they miss Miz's interference? I totally watched the entire Rumble event last year too, I should remember this...
1996 is the only year that being eliminated by a non-entrant didn't count.

Well, Lita became "decent" in-ring. Her wrestling skills back then were really overrated IMO.
Trish though, yeah, that's a success story. She comes across better than she really was historically because her main opponents were people like Jazz and Molly Holly and Victoria and Mickie James, but for someone whose in-ring career lasted 7 years from training school to retirement, she was damn good.
Yeah, she was carried a lot, but even being capable of being carried to a good match is more than some Divas can say.

Speaking of WWE Developmental...as usual no names here until they are called up but fans need to know that just because someone was a solid hand in the indies and could fly around and work at a break neck pace doesn't mean that they will be a star on the big stage. There is a great deal that goes into being a long term, big earner in WWE that many fans never think of or of which they are aware. These factors have zero to do with in ring abilities.
I will say that most kids that I see in FCW who have had significant experiences before coming to FCW need to slow down somewhat and execute more crisply.
Antonio Cesaro should be good to go then!

I knew Ray Lloyd from WCW when my dad used to bring me around there, [Cody] Rhodes told WWE.com. But I was quite surprised when I found out he was going to be the health and lacrosse coach at my high school.

From: Rad Link 5 | #482 At first I was like "What the hell?". But he means a US Title Match, right. Since that was already advertised last week. "To be fair, I'm not doing anything."
Yes, he means the US Title match, but that wasn't announced until after the ref blew the call, and the quote says that John made that decision immediately following Punk vs. Swagger.

Clearly, the referee made an incorrect call, Laurinaitis said when a WWE.com reporter caught up with him immediately after the match in the locker room. To be fair, Im giving Swagger a title match next week.
According to Foley's book, when they gave Foley his new role as an announcer, they also cut his paycheck down to "beginning announcer" levels without telling him.
I wonder if that happened to Punk last year.

From: Rad Link 5 | #463 Doesn't he have more important things to do than rant into the announcer's ears. Do Brie Bella and Mark Henry have to put up with this crap when they're on commentary? Even CM Punk?
I can't imagine Punk would listen to Vince if he wanted Punk to say something Punk disagreed with.
Supposedly Vince's absolute biggest pet peeve, even moreso than calling title belts "belts," is excessive pronoun usage. He DEMANDS proper nouns whenever possible.
--
Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. http://bryandanielson.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/photo3.jpg
EDIT: It does give an extra reason to watch NXT and Superstars though. Vince is only micromanaging the commentary on Raw, SD, and PPVs. Everyone's much looser and IMO better on the smaller shows, with the exception of Regal constantly trying to tiptoe around saying "wrestler" or "wrestling" too much.

MWC's response: He's lying! He KNEW Johnny Gargano would go spread the news so he planted that false information to deflect criticism. What a Machiavellian genius!

Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. http://bryandanielson.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/photo3.jpg
Meh. I've never been a big Kennedy/Anderson fan. He's better on the mic than a lot of people, but overrated there IMO.
In-ring I haven't seen anything too special out of him. His best singles matches have been with Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle, and I can't think of a single other memorable one.
--
Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. http://bryandanielson.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/photo3.jpg
I think that's a good point. They seem REALLY committed to getting Laurinaitis over, and they know that Punk will verbally bury him with every sentence even if he's holding back.
--
Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. http://bryandanielson.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/photo3.jpg
Really, there is no reason that we couldn't have gone straight from Vince being removed from power to Laurinaitis in charge, EXCEPT THAT doing it that way doesn't allow the show to become Triple H centered for 2 months.
