Keeping the titles on them through Strike 1 was actually a pretty strong message that they thought he would learn his lesson. "You screwed up, go serve your time, when you come back your old position on the card is still here for you."

As of today (Tuesday), Austin Aries's X-Division Title reign is the 7th-longest in the title's nearly 10-year history.

Merely by making it to the next PPV, Against All Odds, would move him to 5th place.

Making it to the next PPV, Victory Road, would tie him with Christopher Daniels for the longest reign in history.

It is quite possible that he could in fact be the greatest man that ever lived!

Tonight really felt like the go-home Raw to the Rumble (aside from the fact that only like 10 guys are confirmed for the Rumble <_<).

The way the Cena/Kane angle and the Punk/Ace angle were both left at the end of the show was perfect "What will happen next at the PPV" stuff.

I hope they can top it next week!

Mark Henry isn't medically cleared to compete, the title can't change hands. Zack Ryder isn't medically cleared to compete, and he forfeits his title if he can't compete?


Ryder is consciously defying the doctor's orders, whereas Henry never had the chance to agree to fight or not.

He shouldn't REALLY be able to do that, but that's the logic.

Stephanie McMahon revealed in her interview with Entertainment Weekly that WWE plans to take a page out of the Twilight book to promote the John Cena vs. The Rock WrestleMania 28 main event. She said she wants fans to get engaged like teams similar to Team Edward vs. Team Jacob.

"My team talked about ways to get people engaged in our main event, which is The Rock against John Cena. We want fans to take sides and engage in virtual face-offs - think Team Edward vs. Team Jacob."


I bet Stephanie is totally Team Jacob.

Well yeah, I mean there were 18 WWF Wrestlemanias and we're about to hit only the 10th WWE Wrestlemania. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the WWF still doubles WWE in terms of "time in existence under that name." But WWE is catching up!

But it still surprised me that it took less than 9 years for WWE to surpass WWF in number of PPVs.

Jakyl Fun Fact
Yesterday, Beth Phoenix passed Kelly Kelly to move her Divas Title reign into 3rd place all-time for that title.

The title has only existed for 3 1/2 years, but it's still notable!

The two reigns ahead of her are the first two reigns, actually. McCool had the title for 155 days, and then Maryse for 216. Beth currently is on Day 106.

Why not gamestop? The only reason not to shop at gamestop is because everything is overpriced as hell. The only thing this doesn't apply to is brand new games which is what the poll is talking about.


Because for most people, it's not the most convenient place. Granted, some people by pure odds live closer to a GameStop than a Retail Department store or a Best Buy or an independent game store, but not that many people.

Some large chunk of voters are in effect saying that they would go out of their way to pick up a game at GameStop than a more convenient option for the same price.

For me, it's close, Target and GameStop are both in the same strip of stores 5 minutes from my house, but the Target is technically closer.

And really, the only thing I'm REALLY surprised is beating Department/Retail Stores is "Electronics Store."

Now that Circuit City is gone, isn't that pretty much JUST Best Buy?

I find it hard to believe that more people head out to Best Buy to buy new games than Target/Wal-Mart/K-Mart/Toys 'R' Us/Meijer/Fred Meyer/CostCo/Sears combined.
