I walked out with a toothbrush on accident once. those alarm things at Walmart didnt even go off lol. think theyre just theyre to scare folks into thinking theyll beep if they try to steal anything

I think some specific items get an extra special security tag placed on them that will beep, probably more expensive stuff than a toothbrush, but you can peel those tags off anyway

Oh and just shoving small things in your pocket from the shelf has a 99.9% success rate. Can't remember the last time I paid for paracetamol or antihistamines

Cameras are meant to counter/dissuade this but after working in retail I learnt there's not one guy just staring at them 24/7 like the mall cop on the Simpsons who catches Bart lol, at least here in Australia.

Its more that people will go back and check them if they notice something big missing or there's a major incident. Usually days later

I'm just curious how you even manage to, given how sensitive the scales on them are here in any I've used in the UK

All kinda methods. The one I've had most luck with is putting some items at the bottom of the shopping bag(under the weird lining thing some bags have to help the bag keep shape) I can fit whole steaks under there and have it look fairly innocuous

You can also just leave items in the bag but if any staff walks over and looks, as unlikely as that is, they'll see everything

Place the bag on the other side of the checkout to where the scale is, go about things normally with a few cheap items you're happy to pay for to reduce any suspicion

And only after paying do you bring the bag over to the other side with the scales and then load everything else into it

This was the only way I could quit nicotine, replacing it with weed. Nothing else came close to working for more than a week, patches etc and I tried a lot.

I was high enough often enough for there to be basically no nicotine cravings for a few weeks and then I was more or less in the clear

Now, I can easily wait til night to smoke weed. When I was smoking cigs the idea of getting through a whole day without them felt like an impossible mountain

Going with the flow of traffic is almost always safer than following a strict limit. If everyone around you is going a certain speed and youre not, whether thats much faster or much slower, you indeed become the danger on the road.

How often in America are 9 people speeding with 1 old grandma trying to go the speed limit (how dare her) your use of "everyone" makes it seem like going over the limit is the default thing when driving

It's very different where I'm from, you've usually got 9 people trying to drive safe and normal and one idiot weaving in and out of traffic, speeding, tailgating, all to save a few seconds

The speed limit, like most Australians. A) because we have mobile speed cameras so you're playing with fire to permanently be driving a bit over

B) because we don't think speed limits are a conspiracy like Americans and recognise the danger that are vehicles going too fast

LOL @ weed being a gateway drug. The only reason that is even conceivably possible is because it is illegal. If you could go to walgreens (see what i did there) and pick up an 1\8th of that za, then you wouldnt need to go to illegal places (dealers) to get it. Illegal places (dealers) CAN have more than just weed for sale. But thats not guaranteed, since most weed dealers grow and only sell to make a living doing their thing. But some nefarious people do pray on people and suggest to try this other shit to get them coming back.
On that note the real dangerous gateway drug is pharmaceuticals like opioids. That stuff will hook you like a fucking FISH and keep getting worse over time. Needing harder and harder variants, until you die.
Weed has never killed anyone.

Oh I literally smoke every day so when I say gateway drug I don't mean it as a criticism.... Just reality. My reality anyway

Yeah I'm not gonna argue for or defend opening messages on the app. That must be overwhelming for you

My initial mention of guys taking things too far and getting angry with girls they've simply matched with didn't mean after one date you can never ghost in any circumstances, I was actually trying to say ghosting complaints are kinda meh

I wouldn't do it to someone myself but then again 1% of my matches lead to dates and I'm pretty selective with who I'll go on one with to begin with anyway

acting like im obligated to continue speaking to you just b/c weve been in close physical proximity is kinda shitty imo
unless weve committed to some kind of formal relationship (regardless of label) ghosting is on the table and i really dont give a shit if anyone thinks thats mean

Okay I'm referring to more than ghosting in general and don't wish to make this a "ghosting vs unsolicited dick pics" discussion lol one is obviously a lot worse

But personally once someone has taken the time to arrange and go on a date I feel it's respectful to not just cut contact completely unless they were inappropriate. I do give a shit if people find my behaviour mean so maybe we're just different

Some men take it way too far. Nobody has any right to whinge about a convo dying before two people have met, I barely view that as ghosting. I've seen some guys lose it over things like that

My issue is more with mixed signals and fickleness(after actually going on dates) or words not matching up with actions.

I also think some girls have taken the concept of "self care" and "I need to focus on me" to the point they're basically just selfish and struggle to really care about the guys they're talking to

That's something that has exhausted me and I have to take time to rebuild my confidence between each person I've met from dating apps
